While any patriot has to love 'Live Free or Die', unfortunately, the Old Man in the Mountain, depicted on their quarter, has collapsed. :-(
When I grew up on Da Range in the 70s, we used to walk from the gym showers back to the Jr. High, about a block's walk. Your hair would freeze on the way, we had a lot of fun with that. Cold? Did you say cold? Weather pussies, yah.
Those are cool, I really, really fear what the Arizona quarter will be, I'm guessing a design of a couple of mostly dead retirees on their front lawn at Sun City screaming at someone who is under 50 to leave their planned community.
My favorite would be a picture of a bunch of Minnesota snowbirds in a huge assed car driving 25 in a 65 zone on their way to the all you can eat 4 PM special at the cafeteria, sticking their flabby florescently white arm out the window and pointing to a saguaro cactus and acting like its the second coming of christ (while complaining that the drivers go too fast doncha know?)
Or the Grand Canyon, that would dull and predictable.

What I love about those coins is the edge lettering. I have an 1834 half and on the edge of the coin it says something like "fifty cents or half a dollar" ON THE FREAKING SIDE OF THE COIN!!!!
