I called Sen McCain's office and asked why Sen McCain, a former POW would agree with Durbin's comparison of US Military to Nazi's.

McCain's office said the Senator didn't agree, the Senator hasn't said a thing. I then asked if they were proud that McCain didn't say anything. They learned alot from their boss, all I got was silence. I again asked why is it so hard for the Senator to defend our Military?

I actually thought McCain could have made some easy brownie points with Republicans without even trying by coming out against Durbin. Anyone who is silent (including my TWO Republican Senators) will never get my vote in the Presidential election in 2008.

Just called Durbin's office and let them know my feelings about his comments. He defames every soldier that ever fought for this country, from the first soldier to volunteer for the Continental Army to the last soldier that signed up today. The woman who answered listened without comment and seemed as if she had heard alot of the same. I told her that she should be ashamed to work for him, but I don't blame her, she can't have known that her boss was this much of an imbecile.

I just wrote (via snail mail so that they have something to hold--harder to get rid of) my two senators (Texas) about the same thing: silence. Gave them what-for. Enough of this. I have also been sending back Repub funding requests bordered in black mark-a-lot stating, "No more of my money until you SECURE THE BORDERS!"

Whatever good that does.

Cajun, I seem to be brain-dead and either don't have the capablility or the knowledge on how to post that wonderful photo of the two Marines on these threads. Kathy in Alaska has tried to tutor me in these things, have patience!
