For more than a decade, the military utilization of space has become all the more important in warfighting. Since the Gulf War of 1991, using space assets has enabled air, land, and sea forces and operations to be far more effective.
Space power has changed the face of warfare. So much so, particularly for the United States, skirmishes of the 21st century cannot be fought and won without space capabilities. That reliance has led to a key action item for U.S. space warriors: How best to maintain and grow the nations space superiority and deny adversaries the ability to use space assets.
That fact has prompted arguments as to the "weaponization" of space from satellites killing satellites, exploding space mines, even using technology to make an enemys spacecraft go deaf, dumb, or blind.

"Full spectrum dominance," "rods from God,"
lots to like in the weaponization of space,
particularly if WE do it first.
The Aliens will not look foundly on this.
So I see a thread about weaponizing space.
My first thought is...We need to get Rods from Gods going.
You even post a picture. WOOT.
Tungsten Rods hitting ANYTHING at mach 20 are pretty much Nukes without radiation. Why we've not already done this is beyond me.
Nor will the space child (in the book "2001: A Space Odyssey" he detonates the nuclear weapons in orbit around the Earth, a scene which Kubrick left out of the movie because he didn't want the end to too closely resemble the end of his previous movie "Dr. Strangelove").
Well, maybe these aliens will show themselves.
No more alien trespassing. ;^)
Same here. bump
