Incredible dialgue on Daily Show
I have not heard this anywhere else, and it is ironic that it came from the Daily show which I watch almost daily...
Please let me know what else you know about Timmerman or this subject...
Timmerman also wrote the book about Jessie Jackson "Shake Down".
Along the right side of the column at his homepage there are a ton of his writings. Good reading.
Stewart is an ass and I can't stand watching him.
The last time the country of Iran had a revolution to change their government (late 70s), Their neighbor, Saddam's Iraq perceived this change in political system a s a weakness and attacked.
If the same thing happens today, the proud people of the glorious country rise up to change their government by peaceful means, WE, the US and our allies have their eastern flank covered (US and allied troops in Afghanistan), and we have their western flank covered(US and allied troops in Iraq).
If there is a time for a change in the government of Iran that time is NOW, RIGHT NOW, when they can not and will not have their borders purged as a result.
Don't worry.
His 15 minuits are about out.
He is a "flavor of the month" type, I've seen his type come and go, and he is about at the end right now.
Look for him to "move on" to other things some time around next year.
Who can forget Jon Stewart's immortal singing and dancing performance in "Elmopalooza!" He makes Mark Madsen look like Usher.
I read and enjoyed Timmerman's "Shakedown". Several reviews of the book on amazon.com give it great praise, one saying:
"As a Black conservative, I realized long ago that the only color Jesse Jackson cares about is green, the only god he serves is the all mighty dollar and the only church he represents is the cult of Jesse."
I ask this, Hootch. Is Kenneth Timmerman telling the truth about these "links to Al Queda", and such things as the poll about how Iran's people like American culture? My answer is, "I do not know". The thing is, I have a problem putting faith in a guy that can ultimately be serving the American people bull. Don't you think it is possible that our God-loving party could be using Timmerman as a means to apprehend the citizen's faith in regards to the possibility of Iran being the evil-doers like Iraq. Just about all Democrats do not find any credibility in the Bush Administration, and some Republicans are leaning toward that mentality as well, considering Bush's latest poll stats. Having said that, would it not be so far-fetched to wonder if the GOP might consider using some other form of persuasion other than the Bush administration? For example, people like Timmerman who do not necessarily claim to be Pro-Bush or Anti-Democrat, but who in fact probably are. Having an "unaffiliated" spokesperson, especially one who considers himself as the "go-to" guy for Iran intelligence, can bring plausibilty to wanting another invasion or evil doer. My point is, being in this era of bipartisanship, does it not seem reasonable to step out of the red and blue box in order to see a clearer picture of what and where TRUTH is?
Probaby ture. That's why he is were he is. His bosses want to get a specific message out.
