Clintons Join Billy Graham for Final Revival - (BARF ALERT!)
FOX NEWS.COM ^ | JUNE 25, 2005 | A/P

Posted on 06/25/2005 8:37:08 PM PDT by CHARLITE

As his final American revival meeting continued Saturday, a fragile Billy Graham (search) was met onstage by former President Clinton, who honored the evangelist, calling him "a man I love."

Clinton spoke briefly before Graham's sermon and recalled how the man known as America's pastor had refused to preach before a segregated audience in Arkansas decades ago when that state was in a bitter fight over school desegregation.

"I was just a little boy and I'll never forget it," said Clinton, who was joined by his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (search). "I've loved him ever since. God bless you, friend."

Graham called the Clintons "wonderful friends" and "a great couple," quipping that the former president should become an evangelist and allow "his wife to run the country."

Graham, 86, then launched into a short sermon that was interupted by applause five times. Organizers estimated 80,000 people had come to the crusade at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens — about 20,000 more than the opening night Friday. The rally ends Sunday.

The evangelist is suffering from fluid on the brain, prostate cancer and Parkinson's disease. He uses the walker due to a pelvic fracture and is largely confined to his home in Montreat, N.C. He had said previously that the rally "will be the last in America, I'm sure."

DRUDGE'S LATEST POSTS HAS GRAHAM SAYING, "LET HILLARY RUN THE COUNTRY"--!!!!!!!!

Has this old man lost it? Can't he tell good from evil anymore? Has he become an old fool who can't tell when he's being used? Will flattery even disarm the man who has done more to spiritually lead Protestant America than any other man in the 20th century?

Billy Graham never in his entire career was in a room or even an elevator alone with a woman. Quite the opposite with Bubba. I think Bubba's heart problems scared the daylights out of him but Hillary's still dangerous. Graham was just being polite about her being president.

I dont trust most of these stadium style preachers..The ego is the last thing to go before REAL spiritual growth is achieved. Few of these guys get past it..

Last week, in an interview with NBC's Brian Williams, Billy Graham told him it would probably surprise people to know that both sides of his family were proud democrats. He did not say how he is registered or how he votes. I would see him as more Zell-like, too, if he is a "D".

Seeing the Clinton's up there on the same podium with Billy Graham doing their phony holding hands routine, etc., made me want to throw up. The Hypocrisy of the whole thing has tarnished Billy Graham's farewell Evangelical Tour.
That whole unreal and surreal scene was just way too much and should really show and expose the Clinton's for the real two faced phonies they are.

Did it ever occur to your self righteous critical mind that perhaps BG was trying to extend a hand to old Bill? To turn around and fly straight in a gentle way?

In that interview with Brian Williams last week, he said when he gets to heaven he hopes he'll learn the answer to this mystery: John Kennedy once asked him to go back to the White House with him in the presidential limousine. He wanted to talk with Billy. Billy had a bad cold, and declined, thinking it would be very bad to get germs all over the leader of the free world. He asked for a raincheck, which JFK agreed to. Kennedy was assassinated shortly thereafter. This lost opportunity has weighed on Billy's mind for 42 years. It may be a clue to his tolerance of Bill & Hillary. That, and being a gentleman.

Why would that surprise anyone, Mr. Graham being from NC and being born in 1918? Of course, the odds were 90 percent that both sides of his family were Democrat. He has said that he is a egistered Democrat, and cites the NC heritage, but insists that he votes "the man."

Goldwater and Wallace were pandering to get liberal Democrats to say something nice about them. Moynihan often praised Goldwater, and even Shirley Chisholm went to AL and tried to console the suffering Wallace.

Not to mention TACKY beyond belief, despite the multi-million $$$ they made from selling two fraudulent, "lying liars and the lies they tell"...books.

You got it exactly right, Peter Blood. Right on the mark.

Thanks for your comments.

BG has been a friend to both sides of the aisle.

Perhaps I think to highly of the man but I believe he wanted to influence Republicans and Democrats alike into more Christ like ideals. You will not be persuasive in trying to influence someone if you are antagonistic and reveal partiality so obviously.

"The evangelist is suffering from fluid on the brain..."

At least the writer of the article has a sense of humor. Obviously Graham has lost his mind in his old age.

I lost all respect for Billy Graham after reading this outrageous comment in the paper today. The Clinton's are of course suddenly pretending to be Christians, and now I wonder about Graham too.

Bill and Hillary remind me of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11. Read it for yourself. But just to tease your curiosity is verse 10 ...
"Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband."

I guess if you hang out with the No. 1 preacher for awhile that makes up for all the blow jobs you got in the White House

Dress up the legacy

Put all the lipstick on a pig you want at the end of the day you still got a pig
