That said, the book is garbage.

There are legitimate issues with Hillary --- whether or not Billy raped her to conceive Chelsea is not one of them.

By paying attention to the book, it allows Hillary to brush off real criticism by pointing to this straw man.

That said, the book is garbage.

Have you actually read the book, or are you basing your comments on the commentary from the media...you know, the guys who can't be trusted to tell the truth?

I remember when Gary Aldrich's book "Unlimited Access" was written - the media stories were all about the supposed consentration of Aldrich on Bill sneaking out of the Whitehouse to meet up with chicks. The book was widely criticised - often by folks who hadn't read it - for it's obsessive focus on Bill's sex life. Naturally, it was suppressed by the MSM and Aldrich could not get on any of the typical talk shows to discuss what the book actually said.

Well, I obtained a copy of said text, and found that Aldrich focused Almost Not At All on Bill - the book was actually far more concerned Hillary, who, it turned out, was actually running the Whitehouse. With all the bizarre stuff that Aldrich documented, it was almost spooky the way the Bill almost faded from the picture.

I have no idea if Klein's book is Great or Trash. I suspect that Klein - a reliably liberal democrat - is a supporter of the Kennedy faction of the democratic party and is therefore aligned against Hillary. Moreover, from the few interviews of him that I have read, he really seems to believe that Hillary! is a power mad sociopath, and he doesn't want someone with said severe personality disorders anywhere near real power.

How long did it take you to read the book?

Drudge misread that portion of the book. He did not mean literally that Bill raped Hillary, it was Bill joking about Hillary's lack of interest in him intimately.

Read the book this weekend.

In the instance you cited, it does not say Hillary was raped.

(1) Bill said the phrase when going to their room at the end of an evening partying - she had left earlier - and it was clearly a braggadocio-type statement among him and the guys left.

(2) Their room was a wreck the next day, but that was attributed to as likely a normal fight-scene between them.

(3) The point of that story was that Clinton heard Hillary was pregnant from the news first - NOT from her.

Overall, through the information cited and the references, it seems pretty well constructed and supported.

HOWEVER, I'm inclined to think that folks who have an already-formed opinion on Hillary - kool-aid drinkers on Both sides - will have their opinions reinforced.

Either Anti-H and it is all true, or Pro-H and there is indeed a vast RWC and this is its latest blow.

If you consider someone who hasn't already formed an opinion - i.e. are one of the 15% who she is reinventing herself to influence - they are probably so uninvolved in politics that they never read a political book, and what the MSM sells them is what they will buy.
