Biblical Arts Center in Dallas, Texas, on fire and blazing, according to Dallas Fire Department.
Houses many ancient artifacts. No injuries reported.
Let us pray....
Any burning bushes?
Amen. (cough-cough)
Would it be considered a hate crime if someone started it?
Since it's in Texas . . . "Any burning Bushes?"
WRITTEN INSIDE COVER OF KORAN: In case of fire, throw this in.........
From KLTV via AP:
"Dallas firefighters are attacking what appears to be a major fire at the Biblical Arts Center in Dallas.
Heavy smoke was pouring from the roof of the northern end of the museum and art gallery -- which is highlighted by the 124-by-20-foot painting "Miracle at Pentacost."
No word yet on the amount of damage to the center's art collection and Biblican artifacts from the multi-alarm fire. No injuries have been reported.
The center is located near Northpark Center in North Dallas."
I wonder if the insurance report will read, "Act of God."
[intolerance mode on]
...mine says "FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY" and sits on the back of the toilet..
LOL!!! Why wait for an emergency?.............
I've been there. It is a historic and neat place to visit. I live about 20 minutes or so away. I am saddended. i hope the Painting of the Pentecost is saved.
Oh no... the Pentecost Mural is a beautiful piece of art.
Not that anybody knows it exists. They hide it in a shed behind a cemetary and a mall!
We tried the Koran for everyday use but sometimes you might see the words as you peeled the pages out fo the book and the resulting spasmodic laughter made things "messy" to say the least..
Hate crime? Nah - no way. My parent's church (and one of the first ones established in Oak Ridge) burned down at the end of last year. It was an arson, with at least 5 points of origin, as well as vandalism taking place before the fire. However, it wasn't a hate crime.
Go figure.
"Would it be considered a hate crime if someone started it?"
Not if the media can hide it.
Holy Smoke!
Is this considered a thread or a revelation?
