HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA...and why should they not? (love the title)
Yup, they grew up in the drug era, no wonder they, and no doubt Tom, love their drugs. Some admit to it others claim it is an awakening.
I guess Cruise has never heard of mental disorders like autism, schizophrenia, ADD, hyperactiviy, chemical depression, trauma from accidents/attacks, retardaion... the brain can have disease and disorders just like the eyes, feet, heart, skin, etc. It is one whole human body and the brain is part of it and can have problems.
Cruise is a moonbat.

Matt, you're being glib.

Tom Cruise channelling Xenu.
....they want their rich members to remain depressed, suicidal...
hoping they will take their own lives leaving their million$ to Scientology....
Psychiatry competes with Scientology for patient dollars, so naturally Scientology is against it. The viciousness with which Scientology tries to plow under its competition is notable however. Sci routinely blackmails members it wants to hang onto (i.e. those who can act as salespeople, such as celebrities, and those who still have significant assets or earning capacity for Scientology to loot). It's doubtful that Cruise really believes all this garbage he's spouting. More likely he got in too deep to get out, and so doesn't have any choice but to follow orders.
Didn't Tom Cruise give some speech for Earth Day way back when, where he said that companies needed to recycle and stop polluting. Meanwhile, he had just finished making "Days of Thunder" that destroyed many cars and probably created more pollution than most companies.
This includes the psychedelic drugs too.
It's dissapointing that psychiatrists are bothering to dispute the claims of some nutjob that nobody takes seriously anyway. It only ends up giving Cruise a little bit of credibility.
The proper response is what the White House did when the Democrats complained about Rove's statement about them coddling terrorists after 9/11. Simply say, "It's puzzling" that you would feel that way, and go about your business.
We need to just get it over with, and ban all non-Christian religions and start shipping the Muslims off to Gitmo.
Judging from Tom's recent behaviour he is a perfect candidate for some medication.
