OK then, it's time to do what Israel does and make military service mandatory for 2 years.
I totally agree, Jarhead. That would cure a helluva lot of American society's ills, I think. Imagine actually having to train to fight for the freedoms one takes so much for granted. We might actually return some pride to this country!
Israel mandates 4 years for Men, 2 years for Women, than the 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year (like the Guard) until they are 45 years old
I totally agree. Or send them to a third world country for volunteer peace corp type work for a minimu of 1 year...they might come back grateful that they have hot running water and a chance to have a job and eventually a home.
At least I wouldn't have to see all these 18 yr old a@#holes at the mall with their pierced bodies and pants dragging to the ground calling the girls "Ho's". THAT alone would be worth a 2 yr military obligation.
