Thanks Waggs. I wonder where the thing is located. The fort of Bela / Zoar overlooked the north basin (the deep one, and the only one with water in it nowadays) of the Dead Sea (at that time, the Valley of Siddim), and was the place to which Lot ran to avoid destruction, after pleading to the Lord to spare that place. Let's face it, Lot took the easy way out wherever possible. In the case of Zoar, he simply didn't want to be on the road all day and night.
