MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. – A convicted sex offender has been arrested for re-offending. Police say he is suspected of raping several young boys he met at a local church.  David Harvey Herget Acting on a tip from one of his alleged victims, Mountlake Terrace Police entered his home Friday morning and arrested 62-year-old David Harvey Herget on suspicion of several counts of child rape. Authorities believe his male victims range in age from 10 to 15, and he made contact with all of them at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mountlake Terrace. Investigators say some of the crimes may have taken place in his home, completely unknown to his wife and two grown children. Herget now faces six counts of rape of a child, six counts of child molestation, three counts of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, and three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Police is expecting more victims to come forward. In 1993, he was convicted of child rape and child molestation. He served time in jail for these offenses and was excommunicated from his church. He registered with the Mountlake Terrace Police Department as a sex offender in 1997 and they checked on him frequently, but they say if he was able to keep it a secret from his immediate family, they are not surprised he was able to fool them for so long. Herget will be arraigned on Tuesday.

The fact that any child molester gets out of jail and molests again is the direct result of not executing them. Execution is the solution.

Well, if that was the case, which I doubt, then the story would read former catholic still molests, and that would be the lead.

Yep, this story doesn't fit the agenda on the networks. You see, the Catholic Church is supposed to be in "crisis".
I mean other churches have their share of perverts too.
Sex offenders caught re-offending should get an automatic death penalty with limited appeals.
How does one go about checking on a sex offender? "Hey Herget--been touching the kids lately? No? OK, see you next month"....?
Or at least a long prison term. I don't understand how these perverts get out of prison so quickly.

Because if children are so valueless that they can be killed before birth with impunity, then what happens to them after birth is of little consequence.
Sex offenders (particularly child molesters) should never get another chance to abuse another child. They should have no more chances. It's shameful that they are ever allowed out/to breathe air.
Right, digital - the media loves stories about Catholic priests molesing kids. But they still avoid the words "gay" or "homosexual" like the plague. It's "children", and if you're lucky, you find the word "boy".
They don't want to admit it's not a priest or a Catholic problem, it's a homosexual problem. Meaning, the root cause is not the Catholic doctrine, beliefs or practices, but the Lavender Mafia.
And yet another.... This guys served no more than 4 years for child rape and child molestation. What in the f***ing hell are those bastards thinking when they let these people go free?
Herget's not the only one who needs to be punished.
