Near the Cuyahoga River valley, off of 271. Seems way too far north (and a large coincidence with this thread coming out today), but it looked exactly like these pictures. Power of suggestion perhaps, but it was not a groundhog and it just looked wrong for a beaver.I could believe these central American rodents moving into the southern part of the state. If he moved that far north, he'd have to be a big LeBron James fan. Maybe it was an muskrat on 'roids? ;-)

If it was a muskrat, we have a science fiction film on our hands!
I was driving by and 45mph and this thread probably convinced me that my quick glance was of one of the things. Still, if it can make it to Washington State, maybe Ohio is not out of question.

Thanks for the links. I did not know the Nutria had made it here. Guess getting rid of them is harder than introducing them.
As for the furcoat/first wife/waterrat thing .....LOL. Too funny. She must have been on your case over that statement. LOL.
