Wowser...now that is some contraption!

It scared the dog real good when I dragged it out into the yard and cranked it up this morning for the first time.

My wife simply refuses to evacuate for hurricanes ( won't leave her Mom- who is very old & sick, and who also refuses to evacuate- or her animals, no inland shelter will accept them ) and can't live without air conditioning. The small Coleman plant we have on the porch isn't big enough to run AC's and it's a manual start, which she utterly hates anyway.

This thing starts like an old-time car-- turn it on and mash a starter button- so hopefully she can use it even if I'm hors d'combat for any reason.

Got to ramp it up to the back porch, make some cables for two AC's and the refrigerator, and then we're set as long as the house stays together.
