I was disappointed that Italy seemed to signal the terrorists that they would begin a staged withdrawal from Iraq. Now, I know this was planned for awhile, but the decision to announce it again the day after the terrorist attack in London seemed appeasing to me.
But worst, ineffective. The terrorists will think, we just threaten them and they announce they are pulling out 300, we might as well attack them and just speed things up.
Italy will probably put its 300 returned troops to work hunting the CIA types who got a dangerous terrorist "cleric" off their streets.
