MoveOn Sees Conspiracy in Roberts Timing
NewsMax ^ | 7/19/05 | Carl Limbacher

MoveOn, the left wing political action group, sees a White House conspiracy in the announcement of President Bush's new Supreme Court nominee.

When the White House revealed that the President would release the name of his pick Tuesday night, MoveOn quickly issued a press release suggesting the timing of the announcement was simply a "wag the dog" effort to help Karl Rove.

The MoveOn release reads:

"President Bush has apparently speeded up the announcement of his Supreme Court nominee to deflect public attention from the Karl Rove scandal."

Evidence of the timing conspiracy?

MoveOn cites an unnamed "Republican strategist" who told Reuters Tuesday that the announcement "helps take Rove off the front pages for a week."

MoveOn reiterated its contention the "the President should keep his pledge to the American people and fire Karl Rove for his involvement in disclosing the identity of a covert CIA officer."

No matter that Rove claims he never released Plame's name or that he learned of her CIA connection through a reporter, Robert Novak.

OMG, O'Conner resigned almost 2 1/2 weeks ago we knew this was to come. They are bonafied crazy people. Their hatred for Bush has numbed their brains. Its hysterical.

Sorry, MoveOn, but the left's attempts to slime Rove in order to prevent Bush from naming a SCOTUS nominee have failed.

Bush wins again.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is soooooo laughable! I think the moveon idjits should replace their "v" with an "r" in their name!

What was it President Bush said about firing a missle at a camel's butt?

President Bush has apparently speeded up the announcement of his Supreme Court nominee

Is this not one of longest periods in the history of the USA that a President has taken to nominate someone to SCOTUS after an announced retirement? Yes it is!

Sure glad the Pres speeded things up!

I was wondering how long it would take them to come up with something like this. I'm sure they probably think Rove conspired with Sandra Day to time her retirement.

I'm amazed that MoveOn can see anything without removing their tinfoil hat.

Get ready! Demo NY Senator Chuck Schumer said "We go to war over the Supreme Court." Of course the Dems will fight to the last filibuster to keep a place on the Court for a few lefties. It's the only way socialism can gain, that is, by judicial fiat. They can never win in the legislatures. Dems can't even win elections any more.

Against nominee Judge Roberts the Dems will lie, forge documents, and with the help of the leftist media, do everything in their power to block his confirmation.

I would not be surprised if some Dem leaders even advocated assassination as St. Petersburg, FL Dems did during the 04 campaign when they called for the assassination of Vice President Cheney.

The only way the Left can win is by a military coup. I can just see Hillary in camos charging up Pennsylvania Ave. toward the white house, firing an assault rifle from the hip and screaming, "It's ours dam it, it's ours."

Apperantly, "MoveOn" doesn't recognize the irony in their own statement. Have they forgot the reason they even exist.
