Judge Roberts' Wife Ran Pro-life Group

Supreme Court nominee Judge John Roberts has made conflicting statements over the years on Roe v Wade - calling it "settled law" during his 2003 appellate court confirmation hearings but "wrongly decided" while he served as deputy solicitor general.

There's no doubt, however, where his wife comes down on the hotbutton issue of abortion.

"The role of his lawyer wife, Jane Sullivan Roberts, in Feminists for Life, a group dedicated to overturning Roe v. Wade, is . . . certain to raise liberal eyebrows," reports today's Boston Globe.

In fact, Mrs. Roberts once served as executive vice president for the pro-life group.

On the Feminists for Life web site, the group's mission statement explains:

"Feminists for Life recognizes that abortion is a reflection that our society has failed women. We are dedicated to systematically eliminating the root causes that drive women to abortion - primarily lack of practical resources and support - through holistic woman-centered solutions.

"Women deserve better than abortion," the mission statement continues.

"Feminists for Life continues the tradition of early American feminists such as Susan B. Anthony, who opposed abortion."

Ah, this is what I said on the Ann Coulter article thread.

The husband would be known through the wife and her kids...
This suggests that Ann Coulter's fears of this choice may not be appropriate.

I hope the doubters give him credit for this.

You know they would crucify him if his wife worked for Planned Parenthood or NARAL.

Dear Boston Globe,

Judge Roberts wife isn't allowed to have an OPINION about abortion other than a PRO ABORTION stance?! Since when?! Not all women THINK the same no matter what the PRO ABORTION crowd wants you to think!

Mrs. Roberts put her money where her mouth is and ADOPTED her children from people who obviously didn't want those children. So, stuff it!

BTW, Jane Roberts is also an attorney who can think for herself without the "help" from NARAL, the NOW gang or Planned Parenthood.

This is actually quite funny. GWB, a perfect choice! If they can't blame him, they can blame his wife.

" The husband would be known through the wife and her kids..."

Isn't David Suttor (sp?) a hermit or something. That would explain his wacko rulings.

Roberts appeared to have a more normal family unit and I believed the wife with young children would be the way to know that man.

CLEVER...this WH is sooo clever. I laugh when I think of what this WH has actually done many times. Their so clever most the dems don't get it. And if they do, no one believes them.

I attribute it to their belief system, totally. The dems are blinded because of their belief system...that's so scriptural...
