ED KLEIN ON HILLARY: 1 - Clinton Administration's Bradford DeLong Says No to Hillary
THE TRUTH ABOUT HILLARY | 2005 | Klein

Posted on 07/25/2005 12:49:39 PM PDT by doug from upland

From Ed Klein's THE TRUTH ABOUT HILLARY --

"My two cents' worth--and I think it is the two cents' worth of everybody who worked for the Clinton Administration health care reform effort of 1993-1994--is that Hillary Rodham Clinton needs to be kept very far away frm the White House for the rest of her life," writes Bradford DeLong, deputy assistant secretary of the Treasury during the first Clinton administration.

"Heading up health-care reform was the only major adminstrative job she ever tried to do. And she was a complete flop at it. She had neither the grasp of policy substance, the managerial skills, nor the political smarts to do the job she was then given...."

"Hillary Rodham Clinton," he continues, "has already flopped as a senior administrative official of the executive branch--the equivalent of an Undersecretary. Perhaps shewill make a good senator. But there is no reason to think that she would be anything but an abysmal President."

I saw a few minutes of her on C-SPAN last night and slept easier. Man is she a bore. Once you get past the hardcore ideologues, she can whine all she wants about sexism, she's just plain too dull to excite anyone but those who already adore her.

The bent one set her up and she was too stupid to realize it.

Also, the way that the dims a pillorying Bolton over his treatment of subordinates sets a pretty neat precedent for tearing Hillary's ass up over her treatment of her travel office subordinates in the Clintoon Whor-err, White House

She doesn't have to be exciting. She will get all the blue states. All she has to do is pick off Ohio. If people here don't think she can win, they are delusional. In my opinion, she is the favorite to be the next president (unless we work hard enough to stop her).

Doug I agree with you and I have to say it scares the stew out of me that she could have a chance.

You are frightfully correct.

If Hillary is the candidate, you will see MSM Spin that will make your head spin.

Agreed. She can count on 35% of the vote just because that percentage of the electorate will vote without thinking for any candidate with ovaries. She doesn't need to go much further to win, especially if there is a spoiler on the right.

We are going to have to work very hard to stop her -- and stop her we must, because President Hillary with the powers of the Patriot Act behind her will make Josef Stalin look like an amateur.

I think she is the most dangerous politician since Huey Long.

It would not be enough to try and beat her in the general election in '08....she can't get that far in the process because who knows what can of chicanery the dems would pull to get her elected.
As far as I'm concerned, she can never be nominated in the first place.

If a complete void like sKerry could get as close as he did.

Anyone realize she's been a senator fo 4 1/2 years and has never had an open press conference?

Guess she doesn't want to face that hostile right wing prees corps.

If people here don't think she can win, they are delusional.

Yes, the HRC can win boosters have been telling me this for a couple years now. But it's thinking in a closed jar--you have to let reality in and not think that analysis by political types is the be-all and end-all.

They were the ones telling us that OBVIOUSLY Dean was going to be the Dem nominee. And that Kerry was OBVIOUSLY going to win.

I don't trust prognosticators over my own impressions, my own ears, and my own skepticism over all the "done deals" I've been told about over the years.

That's the same point I have often made. A genuine traitor to this nation came within a 60,000 vote flip in Ohio of being the president. And people don't think Hillary can win?

I thought she and the bent one were adopting a kid after they left the White House? Shouldn't she honor that promise - that would keep her too busy to run for the Presisency I would think!

I think the MSM are such huge fans of HRC that they don't care about such inconsistencies. They want her and that's it. Of course, they wanted Kerry, McCain and Gore, too.

Can't you picture her behind a desk in the Oval Office with Michael Moore on kneepads?
