The French Fry case is very important. Remember, it's a Washington Metro rule. Those rules are established under the authority of the Metro Board, and that body, which is a creature of an Interstate Compact, draws its members from the State of Maryland, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the US Congress.

The French Fry rule was one of the very first regulations established for conduct on the new Metrorail system ~ and that was done back when Democrats ran Virginia, the Democrats ran Maryland, and the Democrats ran Congress!

Any complaining Democrat in the US Congress certainly had numerous opportunities to have that rule modified.

Since they didn't, it's their rule, not Robert's rule!

Until the Republicans took over Congress, it was common practice for French Fry rule violators in Arlington to be taken to the Arlington jail where they would be STRIP SEARCHED.

Reading through the case it looks like Metrorail has become much more moderate under Republican leadership.
