Houston Muslims Denounce Terrorism

HOUSTON -- Houston-area Islamic groups joined a nationwide campaign to denounce terrorism, Local 2 reported Friday.

The public service announcements hit the airwaves Thursday. The campaign is called "Not in the Name of Islam."

CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, released it to build understanding.

"Muslims are not only victims of the terrorists attacks but also have to deal with the stigmatization of being blamed for the heinous crimes of a minuscule minority." Said Rodwan Saleh, with the Islamic Society of Greater Houston.

Houston's Islamic leaders joined together to applaud a religious ruling against terrorism and religious extremism.

"We want to let all of Houston citizens know that we stand behind peace and justice and we are absolutely against any terrorism or any terrorism actions in this city." Saleh said.

Nearly 1 million people around the country have signed a petition supporting American Muslims.

"The terrorists actions are not in the name of Islam and Muslims do not want their religion seized by criminals, said Kaleem Siddiqui, with CAIR Houston. "They commit these acts cowardly and they call themselves Muslims. We absolutely condemn that and oppose it."

Houston was recently rated the No. 1 city in the country by the Vera Institute for police having good relationships with the Arabic and Muslim community.

I think he's just a shrewd businessman who knows how to play to his audience.

Sort of like how Neville Chamberlain played to his.

Tancredo, on the other hand, got it just right.

As orignally stated...
"We want to let all of Houston citizens know that we stand behind peace and justice and we are absolutely against any terrorism or any terrorism actions in this city." Saleh said.
As meant?...
"We want to let all of Houston citizens (Except the Crusaders and bloodsucking Jews) know that we stand behind peace and justice and we are absolutely against any terrorism (against Muslims) or any terrorism actions in this city (except those against the Great Satan and the Little Satan)." Saleh said.
But perhaps I'm just being cynical.

I never said I didn't have a problem with CAIR.. Some people that claim to represent the Republican party/interests are white supremeacists, do they speak for the GOP.. Then nor do those who condemn muslim terrorism who happen to be muslim need to be dismissed just because they are also muslim... A few years ago on the anniversary of 9/11 there was a panel meeting at wku and the local muslim imam condemned islamic terrorist attacks and those claiming to act in the name of islam.. reason many don't is in part that they fear reprisal from other muslims (similar to Omerta for the italians or moser for the jews). But if they don't take more concrete action to condemn more widespread than the holy places should be targeted..

"Savage is about the biggest moron on earth."

I think he's just a shrewd businessman who knows how to play to his audience.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

But I don't know anything about Muslims.
Yeah.

Lebanese Mufti: London Attacks by US, Zionists, I "Made Fun" of US Border Patrol, kill Americans

No, I don't think you do! YOU think you do, because you are GULLIBLE enough to believe their bald-faced LIES!

-"I demand Muslims denouce terrorism!"
-Muslims denouce terrorism
-"Oh but its meaningless because muslims are allowed to lie to non-believers"
SO WHY DID YOU ASK THEM TO DENOUNCE IN THE FIRST PLACE THEN?

Lebanese Mufti: London Attacks by US, Zionists, I "Made Fun" of US Border Patrol, kill Americans

Because every time they do, we can show their LIES!

It is people like YOU that lap UP their lies, and put on the collar like a good little Dhimmi!

Repost in order.

============Introduction============

The word "al-Taqiyya" literally means: "Concealing or disguising one's beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies at a time of eminent danger, whether now or later in time, to save oneself from physical and/or mental injury." A one-word translation would be "Dissimulation."

The above definition must be elaborated upon before any undertaking of this topic is to ensue. Although correct, the definition suffers from an apparent generalization, and lacks some fundamental details that should be construed:

First, the CONCEALMENT of one's beliefs does NOT necessitate an ABANDONMENT of these beliefs. The distinction between "concealment" and "abandonment" MUST be noted here.

Second, there are numerous exceptions to the above definition, and they MUST be judged according to the situation that one is placed in. As such, one should NOT make a narrow-minded generalization that encompasses all situations, thereby failing to fully absorb the spirit of the definition.

Third, the word "beliefs" and/or "convictions" does NOT necessarily mean "religious" beliefs and/or convictions.

With the above in mind, it becomes evident that a better, and more accurate definition of "al-Taqiyya" is "diplomacy." The true spirit of "al- Taqiyya" is better embodied in the single word "diplomacy" because it encompasses a comprehensive spectrum of behaviors that serve to further the vested interests of all parties involved.

==================================================

Real nice. Yeah, I trust them... NOT!

Ask yourselves; What kind of religion needs this sort of deceptive doctrine built into it from it's inception? I submit that it is the kind of religion that was designed from the ground up to destroy all other belief systems.
