Oh I dunno about that. A lot of what Ballard and his ilk do can serve as a testbed for later outer space exploration. I could support expanded ocenographic exploration, with the stipulation that it be done for actual scientific advancement, not to push some junk-science pet agenda.

How can 51% of the United States be under water? Lakes, rivers, swamps can't cover more space than the dry land.
