As a matter of fact, if this old story had not been found late last night, she probably never would have admitted that she had a meeting with the president. Now she has to try and spin it. Or more accurately, her handlers have to give her a spin that she has to now tell the reporters.
Oops, I read the article again and see that I misunderstood it. When it said that she and her husband "decided against such talk," I took it to mean that they decided against meeting with the President completely, and not that she decided against confronting him with her rudeness.
She still missed her chance, though, in a different way than I originally thought.
