Isn't is really society's fault? Shouldn't we try to understand the root causes of their behavior and try to shed the collective guilt that we all should feel?

It IS these juror's fault...for not sticking to their guns. They caved under the pressure. Lawyers reviewing the case said the D.A. did a good job and thought he would get a conviction.

One might say that, given the case was weak, but they still had enough to convict. An appeal would not have stood on its own. As far as I am concerned this jury was a pile of excrement. Weak. Easily intimidated. But sadly, that is how our system works.

So this twisted, psycho-pedophile is out to continue to examine the rectums of young boys...

It is, however, their fault there wasn't a mistrial which would have allowed a re-trial, and possible future conviction.
