Is it lawful for the BATF to issue an edict like this without new Congressional action? Sounds highly suspect to me.

I don't know what we'd do without the republican majority and 'you know who' to protect us from stuff like this.

The BATF has all kinds of strange powers. A local TV station did a documentary on local wines (I didn't even know they made wines in Pennsylvania). Anyway, one wine maker explained why his wine had such a weird name. Originally the wine had the word "hand grenade" in it and the BATF DENIED him that name. So evidently you can't even NAME your wine the way you want to.
