I was looking at the NCAA website today, and I clicked a link on NCAASports.com to an article about "College Colors Day". This was just placed on their website today. You'll note that they're encouraging everyone to wear the colors of their alma mater, and then at the bottom of the page, they have a link to their online store where you can purchase team shirts, ostensibly to wear them for "College Colors Day". Well, imagine my surprise to see that the very shirt pictured with the link was the FSU Seminoles t-shirt (It's kinda small, but if you right-click the picture of the shirt and select "Properties" you'll see that the image is called 'fsu_tee_75x90.jpg'). Click the link for "NCAA Team Color Tees" and you'll see that both Florida State's and Illinois' shirts are available, and both shirts prominently display not only the school names, but also the mascot names.

This needs to get out to Drudge, Hannity, and anyone else anyone can think of. This is the ultimate in hypocrisy on the part of the NCAA!

Funny. I guess they won't let a few bucks get in the way of their policies. Apparently their College Color is GREEN.

If the University of North Dakota reaches the NCAA hockey finals, will the NCAA require them to rename the school in order to participate?

Or does the ban on insensitive team names only apply to the "money" sports?

Why don't those colleges who are part of the NCAA just un-join and form their own association .... the NCAA would just then be a bunch of empty-headed morons sitting around a table discussing the relative merits of MacDonalds vs Burger King ....

Notice how the NCAA logo is prominently displayed alongside the FSU shirt. It's not shown here, but the Seminole head logo is on the page also.
