FBI Says Case Against Three Men Evolving Three men arrested in the terrorist investigation raid of a southwest Detroit home could have been part of a plot to attack a U.S. military base, federal agents said Wednesday. Agents went to the home on Norman Street in southwest Detroit searching for Nabil Al-Marabh, a suspect who allegedly has ties to Osama bin Laden and two hijackers who crashed passenger jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Al-Marabh was not at the house, but agents found Karim Koubriti, Ahmed Hannan and Farouk Ali-Haimoud.

Investigators also found fake visas, passports, immigration forms and Social Security and immigration identification cards. They said that they also found diagrams of Detroit/Wayne County Metropolitan Airport, including flight lines and aircraft.

Agents said that they found LSG Sky Chefs employee badges for Hannan, 33, and Koubriti, 23. The two men worked as dishwashers for two months before they stopped coming to work, a company spokesperson said.

FBI agents also found a planner inside the home that the men shared that contained notes referring to the "American military base in Turkey," "Alia Airport in Jordan" and the "American foreign minister," in Arabic handwriting. Investigators were continuing to dig for details of the notations.

Sky Chefs is a food catering company serving airlines at Metro Airport. A spokesperson said that the employee badges do not allow all employees access to planes. However, workers told Local First News Tuesday that it is possible to get into restricted areas with only an employee ID.

Hannan and Koubriti have been working at Technicolor in Livonia, Mich., since September assembling boxes for videocassette tapes, Local First News reported. A spokesperson there said that the men were at work on Monday, and that they were good workers.

Details on 21-year-old Ali-Haimoud's occupation were not immediately available, but state officials confirmed that all three men have chauffeur's licenses and that Koubriti also has a commercial truck driver's license. None of the men owns a licensed vehicle in the state, Local First News reports.

Koubriti and Hannan used a Grandmont Street address in Detroit and a Dearborn apartment address on the licenses, but did not live there, authorities said.

Agents are continuing to search for Al-Marabh. He was last seen at a Secretary of State branch Monday afternoon applying for a duplicate driver's license.

The three suspects will be in federal court on Friday for a detention hearing, according to the FBI.

Sounds as though they are up to no good and it will be Americans that will pay with their lives for it.

I did not see what their legal status was. I would assume they were here illegally what with the fake official papers found. But the article does not state their status.

I saw nothing in the article giving any information on the status of these men as to citizenship or immigration status. It would be interesting to know.

Another article posted recently tells of the depressed conditions in Detroit. Isn't Livonia a suburb of Detroit? These guys didn't seem to have any problems getting jobs. Are they just the hard working type or do they have another agenda?

A fake Dearborn apartment address, huh? If we were really concerned about homeland security, we would go house to house in Dearborn and see how many jihadis we could round up. Otherwise, all our searches etc. are a joke.

We mustn't stereotype these folks as Muslim fanatics. They could be Norwegians.

Besides, even if it turns out they are radical members of the Islamic faith, they and their supporters only represent about ten percent of the billion and a half Muslims worldwide.

That means only 150 million or so (give or take) want to cut off your head.
