I agree with what you're saying .. but I expected they would come out right away and say it was some "cowboy".

Strange that we don't have a name yet?

Thanks for the reminder. It's been a while since I heard that sound myself, but I'm thinking there was also a popping and squishy sound in there somewhere.

"every pic i see of the left, they're either crying or raging......"
That is their stock response to everything. Those emotions are deliberately utilized to perpetuate the facade that they are 'caring' people who are 'victims.' For decades these phonies have carted their pre-packaged feelings around in their pockets, trotting them out at any opportune moment (like when a camera is present). The gullible still believe these America-hating, global socialists are sincere and patriotic U.S. citizens.

Huh.
I just read earlier today a story about the crosses commemorating abortions being destroyed and having to be replaced.
But that didn't get the attention that this did.
These crosses do not mean anything more to them than symbolic propoganda.

Yeah, check that thread--I certainly am not afraid of swears but every other post has a swear in it. Nice attempt at being all outraged.

My ex joined the Children of God (a really far out there, wacko cult - little girls encouraged to be whores for Jesus and stuff like that), but he left after 5 months cause he couldn't even get laid there!!
Yeah, that doesn't say much for me, I married him and all, but I was young & really mad at my father, so marrying him was a great way (or so I thought at the time) to get back at dad.
And did I ever learn my lessons =8-/

CindyDawg,
Hi. I have been a lurker for what seems like forever, and a member for awhile, but I have never posted, nor replied to anyone. This seems like the best and most appropriate time however. I have read the rules, but am still not sure I am doing this correctly. I really would have liked to reply to ALL.
Mr. Northern is a friend of my parents from High School and College, my dad's roomate in college and groomsman in my parent's wedding. We have had minimal contact with his family over the years but I do have a friend whose family is very close with his family. The untold story of this "gun enthusiast" is that he was a wounded Vietnam War vet--his story is an amazing one--and is a dedicated Christian Man. I got the sense from my mom that he had a very difficult time, as did many vets when they came home and were met with people like Sheehan.
I do not claim to know what the impetus was for the events leading to the crosses being "mowed down," but hate how the media tries to make him into a crazed gun-toting lunatic...In my opinion, the crosses were desecrated long before this event due to the fact that they are being used for political gain not for the reverential memorial they should be. I can only guess that this situation hit way too close to home to events from the Vietnam War protesters.
Attached is an article from the Waco Tribune showing that he was indeed a purple heart recepient. I wish I could have responded to this earlier, so more people would know. The bloggers and media reports make my stomach turn.
Thanks,
GeroGirl

Tell your friend I appreciate his service and understand his anger. Unfortunately, I believe this is what the left wants and the flags are meant to egg us on. It's hard to ignore them but I believe it is best.
To: gerogirl
I meant crosses instead of flags.
