It was a joke, based on that old aviation joke:

"Mover 35, Houston Center, turn heading 280 for noise abatement."

"Center, Mover 35, I'm at FL310, don't think they can hear us down there."

"Mover 35, ever heard a KC-10 run into 777?"

Of course, Center would never say that, it's intentionally misleading, but then you wouldn't have the joke...
