Victory, Free Speech Wins in Moorpark, Ramirez Speaks Saturday!

Ramirez and delegation meet in Capitol with Gov’s Dep. Chief of Staff - Kostigan

A short while ago, FBP was notified by Darin Henry, president of the Simi Valley Moorpark Republican Assembly unit, that The City of Moorpark has withdrawn that outrageous demand for a $5,000 security deposit that was in violation of the original contract and in a knee-jerk response to the possibility, not actual threat, of protestors based on recent events in Carlsbad, California.

"I am personally very pleased to see that justice has prevailed. For the past three days, I have worked very hard to assist that hard-working organization of Great Americans out in Simi Valley – Moorpark so that their Constitutional Rights were not abridged and I am happy to say, they have prevailed," stated Andy Ramirez, FBP Chairman and the featured speaker of the event.

"However, more importantly, a number of great people all came together such as Senator Morrow's staff, Assemblyman Haynes, Senator McClintock, and Mr. Pete Lepiscopo, the attorney who has now put two bureaucrats into their place for violating our first amendment rights. Many people I contacted sent in emails to Moorpark officials from all over the nation. I know I speak for my friends out in Simi Valley and Moorpark when I express our appreciation to everyone for their support," continued Ramirez.

"You cannot request one fee in the beginning, accept that fee, and then change it mid-stream, while penalizing a patriotic law-abiding community organization. This is wrong, and violates the Constitution by pricing a group with such a high fee, right out of the market. Instead, they should penalize the protestors who cause the problems we saw in Baldwin Park and Garden Grove, and just yesterday in the Governor’s office in Sacramento. Their leaders use 501c3 organizations to raise money to help continue the exploitation of illegal aliens at the border. They act as lawless, screaming, raging, racist, hate-filled mobs. Let them pay it with the money being provided to them by the Mexican government. They glorify those terrorists killing American soldiers overseas," Ramirez concluded.

However, the real problem in this issue is that the City of Moorpark by requesting "protection money" (similar to underworld protection money) violated their’ own ordinance codes.

The Moorpark Municipal Code, Section 12.16.140 indicates that the City has a duty to protect the Simi Valley/Moorpark Republican Assembly, members of the public, and me from those who OPPOSE our viewpoint providing the following statement in its language:

"No person shall interfere with an authorized permitted rental of a city park or park facility."

Also, yesterday in Sacramento, Andy Ramirez joined a high-profile delegation of anti-ILLEGAL immigration leaders who went to lobby Richard Kostigan, Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Schwarzenegger to veto SB-60. Ramirez discussed the issue of wrong-way drivers and how driver’s licenses in the hands of illegal aliens driving load trucks would make it more difficult for US Border Patrol agents to enforce immigration laws. However, Ramirez, also pointed out that he has requested Assemblymembers Ray Haynes and Dennis Mountjoy to request their fellow legislators to request in writing that the Governor declare California a disaster zone due to illegal immigration. Ramirez also requested in writing a meeting with Governor Schwarzenegger to discuss the upcoming Border Watch.

While the group, including Ramirez was waiting to be seen by the Mr. Kostigan in the reception area, a young woman named Renee’ entered the office, saw Ramirez, and exited immediately to notify her group of supporters of driver’s licenses for illegal aliens that Andy Ramirez of Friends of the Border Patrol was in the Gov’s office. Many in her group were not speaking English. Renee’ re-entered the Gov’s office, and started protesting, not peacefully, but while screaming. The CHP and Governor’s Security detail removed her from the office after a few minutes, though they had to threaten arrest for her disturbing the peace.

This is the problem. Protestors engage in behavior that appears to be on the verge of being out of control, and violent, and do not behave or attempt to communicate peacefully. They scream, and use racial expressions, though they accuse the Secure Borders leaders of racism. They demand by intimidation and terror, their right to speak, but use that same intimidation and threat of terror to deny others their right of speech and assembly. That is domestic terrorism.

I was at the Carlsbad meeting, and didn't get a seat so I was outside for the opposing demonstrations. Here's some advice for anyone who attends this one:

Dress nicely, and bring American flags. This makes the difference between the opposing sides extremely clear in a way that even the MSM cannot hide or distort (and they will try!)

Bring a bullhorn or two. The traitors will have them, and without a bullhorn, they will own the entire "audio spectrum." Chanting and singing are okay, but only last a minute or two before folks get tired and quiet returns. A bullhorn never gets tired, and volunteer speakers can keep changing to keep the message fresh.

Here's a great chant to use:

Extraneros ilegales, son ladrones, criminales.

This means: illegal aliens are criminal thieves. This has a nice sing-songy cadence in Spanish. Accent the capitalized letters hard: ExtranJeros ileGales, son laDrones crimiNales.

As an alternative that may be easier to pronounce, try:

Inmigrantes ilegales, son bandidos criminales.

Illegal immigrants are criminal bandits.

Extranjeros is better, because it means foreigner or stranger, someone who does not belong. Inmigrantes gives too much undeserved legitimacy: they are not immigrants, they are criminal invaders!

Saturday, August 20 at 1pm. The meeting was to be held at Moorpark's City Hall.

Think this remained the same....

If citizens acted like that they'd be jailed. Never a peep from our president, other than to call peaceful watchers on the borders, vigilantes. The Republicans won't get five votes in the next election. Hillary, stop your snickering.
