Crawford: Joan Baez Talks to The Buzz (metions Ghandi AND Karl Rove)
National Review Online ^ | 8/23/05 | Eric Pfeiffer

Posted on 08/23/2005 3:02:53 PM PDT by LarryDeRobio

“As Gandhi once said, yes there will be chaos, but it will be our chaos. Yes, there will be massive chaos, but nothing is going to stop the massive chaos. That’s my answer.”

Finally, I asked Baez if she thinks there would be similar anti-war protests being held if John Kerry had won the 2004 election: “You know, the what ifs are so huge. I don’t think he would have invaded Iraq to begin with. He would have understood after 9/11, there was no connection with Iraq. I think that was really the Republican agenda and the work of Karl Rove.”

It's news to me that JF'n Kerry ran for president in 2000.

What a maroon.

>>“We’ve just made ourselves so loathsome that whatever happens I think will be better."<<
No Joan, left wing scum like you and your fellow Baby Boomers in the media have made us loathsome in the world, all because of your hatred of George Bush.

I don't think he would have invaded Iraq, either, since we were already there .... And then there's this:

When I’m in places like Italy I memorize the Italian translation and I say, ‘I ask for your forgiveness for what my president is doing to the world.'

Now, she's covering Dixie Chicks' flops!!! LOL.

BTW, I think what the President is doing for the world is awesome.

Man! That Karl Rove is one sneaky mastermind! But the question now arises: Does Dick Cheney now feel slighted, is his self-esteem suffering because the lefties have now assigned the role of Master Puppeteer to Karl Rove?

She has been waiting for a moment like this for decades, and is now thinking "comeback"...What a hypocrite and opportunist.

This broad has been whacked out since the early 60's. If you want a really stupid answer on anything politically she's the one to ask. Hey Joan, still long for the days when people actually thought you were a somebody?

‘I ask for your forgiveness for what my president is doing to the world. And they stand, they get up and give a standing ovation, because someone finally does get it. That’s how they see it.

and there is the nub of the problem...liberals ALWAYS know better, whether they know the facts and history or not...they always GET IT! SO superior!

hey, i gottan idea! let's just sit around waiting to be bombed, and when we ARE bombed, let's just try to FORGIVE and COMPROMISE.

what on EARTH do these people think we should do?

amazing how when we respond with military action, we are despicable and violent people who are "stirring things up with the terrorists and making things worse."

yet the terrorists initiate military action, their views are to be "understood," and justified.

I do have to laugh out loud when the leftists assign all these powers to Karl Rove. I often wonder if they can see how utterly foolish they look and sound with these "statements".

I didn't read the article, as my BS meter was going off too loudly, thanks for pointing that one out!

Sure would be funny if someone slipped her a phony phrase book that said "I am an old has-been. Can somebody direct me to the bathroom?" instead of that particular phrase.

"Ahh, very good. He's answering me back. Let me consult my translation guide. 'We are US allies, fighting in Iraq, you stupido.' Well, how rude! For that, I won't sign any autographs!"

Does anyone have a recent picture of Ms. Baez? I remember her from the 70's (or was it the late 60's?), and I wonder if she still looks like a hippie.

Gee, we're supposed to care about her opinion and she doesn't realize we were in Iraq before Kerry ran for the White House...

Joan Baez and her sucker friends still can't articulate what they mean. They still have no clue what they mean or say. It's absolutely amazing how anyone can listen to them.
