I would like to be there to greet the bus. I will have a 2.5 hour drive ahead of me afterwards and I don't want to make it too late. ANy thoughts? Does anyone know if we need any kind of a permit?

What church would host a Godless twat like Cindy She-man? If a church was holding a rally for a right-wing cause, the lefties would be out crying to remove it's tax exempt status. As long as your bring your own lunch, make sure you bring some raw eggs to "offer" the sinner when she gets up to speak lie. Fill some balloons with paint water to decorate wash her bus too. Good luck freepers, don't forget to take pics.

I knew the Jesuits were traitors to their Religion, now I know it is to the Country as well. This is one alumnus of St. Louis U. whom is severing his ties to his treacherous alma mater. I will demand removal from the rolls; the cheesy, leftist magazine is not worth my continued association. I urge all patriotic alumni to do likewise.

One idea is for someone like 'kristinn' to contact the American Legion folks to talk about a Free Republic / American Legion counter protest at each site of the bus tour. The American Legion just wrapped up it's annual convention in Hawaii and one of their press releases condemned the anti-war protests.

Legionnaires Condemn War Protests, Pledge Support for President, Troops

HONOLULU, August 23, 2005 - Delegates to the nation’s largest wartime veterans organization meeting here in national convention today vowed to use whatever means necessary to ensure the united support of the American people for our troops and the global war on terrorism.

“Warriors, above all other people, pray for peace, for they must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war,” said Thomas P. Cadmus, national commander of The American Legion referring to Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s quote. “We had hoped that the lessons learned from the Vietnam War would be clear to our fellow citizens: public protests against the war here at home while our young men and women are in harm’s way on the other side of the globe only provide aid and comfort to our enemies. We understand that the terrorists they are engaging there would slit the throats of every American, adult and child, if they could.”

The resolution passed unanimously by 4,000 delegates to the annual event states: “The American Legion fully supports the President of the United States, the United States Congress and the men, women, and leadership of our armed forces as they are engaged in the global war on terrorism.”

“For many of us, the visions of Jane Fonda glibly spouting anti-American messages with the North Vietnamese and protestors denouncing our own forces four decades ago is forever etched in our memories,” Cadmus said. “We must never let that happen again. I assure you, The American Legion will stand against anyone and any group that would demoralize our troops, or worse, endanger their lives by encouraging terrorists to continue their cowardly attacks against freedom loving peoples.”

The measure recognizes that the global war on terrorism is as deadly as any war in which the United States has been previously engaged and that the President and Congress did authorize military actions in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

“No one respects the right to protest more than one who has fought for it, but we hope that Americans will present their views in correspondence to their elected officials rather than by public media events guaranteed to be picked up and used as tools of encouragement by our enemies,“ Cadmus said. “It would be tragic if the freedoms our veterans fought so valiantly to protect would be used against their successors today as they battle terrorists bent on our destruction.

“Let’s not repeat the mistakes of our past,” he added. ”I urge all Americans to rally around our armed forces and remember our fellow Americans who were viciously murdered on Sept. 11, 2001. We must commit ourselves to stand united together to defeat terrorism once and forever.”

The 2.7 million-member American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans organization.

I find it puzzling that this "church" would host an event sponsored by leftist, anti-Christian groups. I guess these methodists are not really Christians. I didn't realize that before.

No longer do I fear the butcher Saddam Hussein murdering my children!

President Bush Remembers Halabja

President's Radio Address (Remembering Halabja)
"This weekend marks a bitter anniversary for the people of Iraq.
Fifteen years ago, Saddam Hussein's regime ordered a chemical weapons attack on a village in Iraq called Halabja. With that single order, the regime killed thousands of Iraq's Kurdish citizens. Whole families died while trying to flee clouds of nerve and mustard agents descending from the sky. Many who managed to survive still suffer from cancer, blindness, respiratory diseases, miscarriages,
and severe birth defects among their children..."

Anyone who thinks Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane
aren't behind the anti war crowd
needs to get a clue.
Remember the slaughter and torture of the people of Viet Nam by the communists
while Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane cheered their commie buddies!

President Bush already met with Cindy Sheehan in June 2004 for 10 minutes.

The HOT Chapter of FreeRepublic freeped the cindy shenanigans in Austin this afternoon. I counted 72 on our side at one time (that's counting some who were reporters of various newspapers). There were probably 3-400 attending the diva's display --mostly dirty, ragged looking people with outrageous bumper stickers on their cars.

I'm sure someone will get a thread up about it later.
