Donna Smith, 24, wants to leave the sports arena, but not to a boat. She hopes to find an apartment for herself and her children, including 5-month-old Dakota.
"I can't live over water. I can't swim," she said. "I wouldn't want to see no more water. I saw enough already."
I guess I can understand those fears, but if I were in their position, I supect I'd be trying hard to overcome them. At least there's a little privacy there are locks to the doors and each room has a bathroom (though small).
Um, are y'all a little surprised that people who lived their whole lives between a giant lake and a giant river don't know how to swim and are afraid of water? It's hard to know whether to laugh or cry at this.
I'm just trying to get rid of the image of folks possessive of the most maximum of gluteii maximus trying to fit on those ships' tiny commodes!
Huh???? These people were just living in a BOWL 14 feet below sea level and they don't want to see "no more water"? You're kidding, right? And they can't swim?? What the heck were the doing in NO in the first place?
