100,000 chemical arms victims in Iran
Sep 6, 2005
The Iranian foreign ministry said Tuesday that 100,000 Iranians are suffering from injuries with chemical weapons they sustained during the war with Iraq.
The Iranian News Agency, IRNA, quoted the director of political affairs department at the ministry Peruz Husseini as saying 50,000 of the afflicted are in dangerous conditions and are exposed to slow death.
Husseini accused the former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein of having used chemical weapons against Iran during their 1980-1988 war.
Speaking at the opening of the third meeting of Asian countries that have signed the treaty of banning chemical weapons, Husseini said Iran is committed to the ban and has helped achieved that objective.
He also called for eliminating chemical weapons around the world

As long as a Democrat is President there are WMD's.
Or as Monseur Kerry said, "they were there before they weren't there."

To: nuconvert
If Iran can provide evidence of WMD's used by Saddam Hussein, they should turn it over immediately.

It's no secret. Iran petitioned Iraq last year to include Saddam's crimes against the Iranians in the charges against him including starting the war against Iran. They were denied at the time, and I'm not sure where things stand now.

No, you are all missing the point :)
Irag has a real government with the rule of law, or soon will.
They want to sue for money for the "victims"
this is the ground work
To: viper_disorder
Suing for money for the victims is not a sign of civilization, it is a bad sign that law makers are feeding on the people.
The rich and powerful tend to have gotten that way by taking money from others, not by having produced anything.
