"It is with a ping of saddness that I find I can not have you to myself this day, but that small hint is lost in a foaming sea of joyous pride in knowing what you are doing. I pray all goes well and that God has His hand over you all as you are on the right side of this issue. Many times I have had to field the questions of why I would have come back, such as 'what are you a war junkie?' or 'whats the matter...you don't love your wife?' You know what I say to them? NOTHING. You know why? Because they could neer understand, it is beyond their comprehension that there are those of us that have chosen to give some of our freedoms so that the rest might keep theirs. As every soldier knows, it is at the cost of their mixture of blood and tears that the freedoms of the masses have been won, and by that same mixture of blood and tears, bourne out of undieing devotion to all that is right and true, upholding the honor of the soldiers of freedoms sweet song. It is never easy to hear those questions as I know the answer, but how is a soldier to explain that in the end, when the shells are raining down and the lead hail that bring only pain, bourne out of the purest and thickest of blackened evil, the only reason that he ran back into the storm of fiercest hell unleashed before him, was soely because he knows that the soldier he is running to would have come back for him. So when they ask, I just say nothing, so as not to ever betray their trust in me by not being able to explain." -Tank
