The man approached her at the school bus stop Monday afternoon.
The 14-year-old freshman had just gotten off the bus from Eastern Hills High School. The man tried to talk to her. She ignored him and walked away, but he followed.
Police say the girl called 911 and kept the operator on the phone during the chase that followed. Her quick thinking helped them catch the man.
Glenn E. Holloway, 28, an evacuee from New Orleans, remained in the Mansfield Jail Tuesday night facing a charge of unlawful restraint of a person younger than age 17.
The man chased her and grabbed her from behind in a bear hug, he said. The girl broke free, called her mother and then called 911 at 4:47 p.m. to report that she was being chased.
"She stayed on the phone while the guy was chasing her,"...
Sullivan said the girl escaped from the man's view and then slipped into her apartment and told her younger siblings to keep quiet. He said that 10 minutes and 24 seconds passed between the time the girl called 911 and when officers arrested a suspect.
"While he was actively searching for her, we caught him,"...
Holloway was paroled from the Orleans Parish Prison in February after serving nearly five years on a narcotics charge, and he remained under supervision until June 21...
Police aren't keeping a tally of evacuees who have been arrested.
"It is a free society," Sullivan said. "We don't track how many people we arrest from Dallas, just like we don't keep track of the number of people we arrest who recently moved from outside the state."

Why was he not in a State Pen, instead of Orleans Parish. He had too long of a sentence for Parish.
Another NOLA turd floated out of its normal cesspool, set loose on an unsuspecting public. I hope he gets 50 years for this rape/kidnapping attempt.
That's a frightening thing to happen to a young girl. My sister (who's name happens to be Katrina) went through a similiar thing. At first, the guy would just stare at my sister as she walked home from the bus stop, then it went to trying to talk to her, to her telling him to get lost. That didn't work, so the police were called and they talked to him. He never bothered her again.

(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
LMAO!!
I Said crime would run rampant thruout all of our cities thanks to our governor who so graciously accepted these evacuees. And I was called a despicable human being as these poor people needed a place to go. Turns out It wasn't I who was the despicable one after all.
This is probably just the tip of the iceberg, so far arrests were made for fights, illegal drugs, sexual assault, and now this, and that's just in the first two weeks since they arrived.
Seems the MSM has given the NO evacuees some sort of celebrity status, I see SUV's proudly proclaiming on their back windows, "New Orleans evacuee". I guess we should put
" Don't Mess With Texas" on our back car windows ;)
ROFLMAO!

I was in agreement. As to the statement that they are not making note of whether or not they are arresting evacuees, that may be so, but crime rate records ARE kept. Let's watch the crime rate for these cities next year. I'm betting the crime rate goes up in the cities that took in a lot of evacuees.
Judging by the rampant corruption we are finding out about in NO, these guys probably got by with all kinds of stuff. They will soon discover that Dallas, Houston, Salt Lake City, etc may not be so easy to get by.
The sad reality is that Katrina was a dirty bomb filled with New Orleans riff-raff that has now been disbursed throughout the country. Nagin is certainly laughing inside because he knows Mother Nature took a leaf blower to his crime-infested city.
Thank you for volunteering to perform a public service the public servants don't want to perform.
Just be sure to not leave any evidence pointing back to you.
I guess he didn't read the memo explaining that acceptable behavior in NOLA wasn't acceptable in his new hometown.
another evacuee repays Texas for hospitality ping
we need to ask the good governor, how many have ended up in Austin??? and why not all of them...lots of room at Texas Stadium... what with all the sensitive folks on Berkley on the Colorado River.....they should fit in fine..
Guess not....
I wonder if this dirtball even knows how to read?
How many is that today??
Perry looks more democrat lib day by day.
I can't even call him a moderate anymore.
And our dear Laura Miller well she never claimed to be anything except what she is and to put those people amongst good decent families is worse than irresponsible!
Round them all up and get them all the he-- out of here!!
And that includes Nagin.
LOL!
