Very interesting - the initial paragraphs in the article indicate that FEMA dropped the ball, but if you read on, the money was moved to the state level and then squandered.

In PA we call our state-level FEMA agency "PEMA". In Mississippi they call it "MEMA". Does LA refer to their agency as "LEMA"?
Perhaps, in the interest of not confusing the public the press should say LEMA. Or are they purposefully muddying the waters?

FEMA did drop the ball, but it was the Clinton FEMA controlled by James Lee Witt (who is now the DNC sockpuppet currently installed in Governor Blanco's butt).

And 8 years ago, when all this money was misused at the state level, who was the State Treasurer? Could it have happened during Mary Landrieu's term from 1988 to 1996?
