Promoting worldwide defeat

By William Hawkins

Published September 22, 2005

Before Hurricane Katrina took center stage, President George W. Bush was making speeches in support of the war in Iraq. While commemorating the U.S. victory in World War II at San Diego Aug. 30, he warned of the al Qaeda strategy in Iraq, "They want us to retreat so they can topple governments in the Middle East and turn that region into a safe haven for terrorism." He posed the question "Do we return to the pre-September 11 [2001] mind-set of isolation and retreat, or do we continue to take the fight to the enemy?"

There will be a demonstration in Washington Saturday, organized by people who see the world and the war the same way the president does, but with one difference. They want America to retreat and its enemies to prevail.

The main sponsor for the alleged "antiwar rally" is the group Act Now to Stop War & End Racism (ANSWER), a coalition of far-left organizations dating back to the Cold War, which they had hoped the Soviets would win.

The flyer their activists handed out at D.C. Metro stations did not confine their protest to the Iraq war. It presented the following list of demands: "End the Colonial Occupation of Iraq, Palestine and Haiti; Support the Palestinian People's Right of Return; Military Recruiters Out of Our Schools and Communities; U.S. Out of the Philippines; U.S. Out of Puerto Rico; Stop the Threats Against Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea."

ANSWER says "its national steering committee represents major national organizations that have campaigned against U.S. intervention in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia." Among steering committee members is the Nicaragua Network, set up in 1979 to "to support the efforts of the Sandinista Revolution.".........

I wish I could post this entire article, but the Washington Times requires excerpting.I posted about 300 words of 900,the limit to stay within FR posting guidelines.

Most freepers probably know intuitively what the so-called anti-war movement is really about, but for a relatively short article this one does a good job of exposing the truth the MSM refuses to report.

I found it to be a worthwhile read. Please use the link and scroll to the bottom of the page for the rest of the article.

FRegards to all and God Bless Our Troops!

[Most freepers probably know intuitively what the so-called anti-war movement is really about...]

It's about the Democrats teaming up with the enemies of Bush to try to regain political power, regardless of whether those people are communists, anarchists, criminals, or terrorists.

Thank you for the post. Amazing all the shadow groups that steer Motha Sheehan.

ANSWER says "its national steering committee represents major national organizations that have campaigned against U.S. intervention in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia." Among steering committee members is the Nicaragua Network, set up in 1979 to "to support the efforts of the Sandinista Revolution." The Sandinistas were communists backed by Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and Kremlin hard-liners.

Alliance for Just and Lasting Peace in the Philippines, a shadowy group sympathetic to Muslim terrorists menacing that island republic

Korea Truth Commission, dedicated to "prosecuting" alleged U.S. war crimes during the Korean War, as well as ejecting American troops from South Korea

Muslim Student Association, which promotes the Wahhabist theology of hate

She spoke at another pan-leftist rally in San Francisco April 27 in support of the notorious Lynne Stewart, attorney for Sheik Omar Abdul Rahman, the spiritual leader behind the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center.

ANSWER Commies... they long for America's destruction. That's the result of the policies they would like to see adopted by our government. No Virginia - they're not for peace.

We understand who these groups are but we must also come to grips with the fact that they all support the Democrats and the Democrats support them. Forget all the Democrat BS arguments about helping the poor, affirmative action, women's rights, etc. That is all for the purpose of creating turmoil to divide and defeat America. They support our enemies, they don't just disagree with us on policies, they hate America and want to destroy us. That is it, period! We had better snap to and stop playing patty cake with these folks. Tell your Congressmen the same.

"It's about the Democrats teaming up with the enemies of Bush to try to regain political power"

Actually, it's worse than that: it's about the Democrats teaming up with the enemies of AMERICA to try to regain political power.

Cindy Sheehan may be doing more good than harm. She is bringing all our homegrown treacherous subversives out into the light and fresh air where their particular brand of treachery tends to die a natural death.

I wish everyone could have seen some of the 'anti-American protest' today. All of those ugly, hate-filled, unbathed psychopaths screeching to a small crowd of clueless stoners.

Not the faces I see much in MY everyday life.

Didn't know anything about it.  Hope the whole country tuned out.

While I tuned out, apparently lots of others did not.  Among them, our buddies at Aljazeera.

See Americans, Europeans demand end of Iraq war

More interesting than the story are the reader comments following it.

A sample:

From Morocco:  robert from usa, do you knouw how many ppl, innocent ppl get killed in iraq war, is it what you want?.. does democracy deserve all this killing?.. stop supporting this war, and ask your toops to go home..

From Iran:  Power of these people the only power can stop the lies from white house and house of lord that they are claming that are winning in iraq, depend how define the “win” since last year numbers of americans killed in iraq is doubled and since last year halliburton’s stack is doubled from 33dollars now is 66 dollars. the poorest of the poor are suffering the most from this none sense war, from both side. today is duty of every honest human been to stop this injustice and criminal act against the humanities. otherwise we should be witness of orgy of killing around the world.

From England:  can one explain why the us and britain are still in iraq. saddam is gone. so get out and let them sort it out themselves. it is their land after all. we have enough of our domestic issues t resolve, u s a has disasters, germany unemployment, uk poor and weak medical, education and police force. i say get out and clean your backyard first. some of us are the children of old colonials and do not have to carry our forefathers burden and iraq was a wrong venture. should have learned from chairman mao look at china today. cheap labour and a good lifestyle who wants more. we the west pay now

From Canada:  lexi, your country is in record debt. debt means you owe money that can be called back at any time. the chinese economy is booming, yours is not. you owe them money, not the other way around. in order for the next president to pay for this chimps mistakes will require ever more industry, while the industry leaders in the u.s. loot the place and leave for more lucrative markets than the u.s. his party just wasted hundreds of millions in stewpid projects at a time when people in your nek of the woods need it fast. this war, this ecominy and the natural disasters that have hit the u.s. will have to payed for somehow. dont expect debt collection to remedy anything. you owe more than you collect, where is the money going to come from?

And, my personal favorite from a guy claiming to be from the USA:  one more major natural disaster usa will come to its knees. 2 more months of huricane season left and lets wait and see what nature has in pocket for usa. once usa on its knees it will surely withdraw and run like rabit. wait and watch it is getting exciting now to see how it withdraws and what makes it to do so.

Lots more still to peruse for your entertainment . . .

These groups are not coming to the nation's capital to promote "peace." They are aligned with the planet's most violent despots and killers. Like Mr. Bush, they understand what is at stake in Iraq and how important America's "imperialist" power is to world stability and progress. They just want none of it, preferring a new Dark Age where America suffers precipitous decline in isolation and defeat.

BTTT I want America to know the truth about these people

After all, the WWP, ANSWER's parent organization supported the
Soviet invasions of Afghanistan, Czechoslovakia and Hungary.

Someone ask Cindy how she felt about the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

War is okay, just as long as Communists start them.
