Babe Ruth will always be known as the best home run hitter before Major League Baseball began juicing the ball.
It's not the ball that gettin' juiced............
They used to say the same thing about the baseballs that Ruth hit.
He so completely revolutionized the long ball that before he came along the recognized leader of the homer [in the American League] was a guy named HOME RUN BAKER......whom I believe led the league in home runs with 12 in 1914.
In 1919 Babe hit 29 and shattered the MAJOR LEAGUE [HR] record by some 20%.
The next year he doubled that record and the rest is history.........
Babe WAS the best home run hitter of all time, and I'm a long time Hank Aaron fan. Nobody but the Babe could outhomer most of the teams in the league by HIMSELF. And nobody else ever will. Case closed.
