I saw this last night and posted a thread immediately after.

The sheriff, Jack Stephens, said the shells look like the ones his deputies use. He said he would prosecute any of his men who did this to the full extent of the law.

What is the matter with the people of Louisiana? Animal-killer cops, people too lazy to care about evacuating to save their own lives, police deserting their sworn duty, public officials too concerned about their fiefdoms to admit they couldn't handle a disaster. Each story tarnishes further whatever good reputation existed for the Pelican State and its people.

I think Grisham's novel The Pelican Brief may have been more truth than fiction... this State is the more corrupt than just about anyplace I can even think of --
