My thought was it might have come from residue on someone planning to weaponize it but on this particular day they were just hanging out at the mall.

Yikes, that stuff is bad. We have cottontails and ground squirrels running all over this property. They're not looking so cute anymore.

As I mentioned to TS, we have bunny rabbits and ground squirrels all over the place here. Not good.
Here's a thought: are there rabbits and squirrels around Camp Casey's various sites? I could see where you could pick something like this up in a rural campsite. They could have it on their clothes, or on the soles of their shoes.
