Hagan's American Journal: Clinton’s past comes back to haunt her?

By

William John Hagan Houston Home Journal

Hillary Clinton has her eyes on the prize. Despite declaring that her future political goal is winning reelection the United States Senate in 2006, only a sap would not know that she is currently preparing for her historic Presidential run in 2008. Nothing else explains her implausible transformation from lunatic leftist to meticulous moderate.

The Hillary Clinton who attempted to socialize health care and embraced terrorist wife Suha Arafat has vanished from the public stage. A strange metamorphosis seems to have taken place since Madam Clinton assumed her place as New York’s premiere Senator. This strange woman who, during her co-presidency with Bill Clinton, ignored bin Laden’s rise to power and embraced the PLO, has transformed herself into a hawk who “supports” the war in Iraq and only criticizes the way in which it is being conducted. Considering that the majority of her New York constituents vehemently oppose this war and, inexplicably, voted for the John “Vietnam” Kerry for president ,it hardly seems like a wise strategic move for a woman who is simply interested in serving her constituents. Neither Clinton has ever been known to go against popular poll-taking in making political decisions. Clearly, the only explanation for this Machiavellian make-over is so that Hillary Clinton can portray herself as a foreign policy “hawk” thereby endearing herself to mainstream America.

Faulting a politician for acting like a politician is like blaming a scorpion for having venom: It’s in their nature. The problem is not necessarily that politicians are largely conniving but that the populace propagates the spread of the species through their abject gullibility and inexplicable naiveté. Most people wouldn’t stay with a spouse who has repeatedly lied to their face, yet the majority of voters continue to return these abusive politicos to their positions of power with limpid absolution: surely they love us and, really, they’ll change!

Unfortunately for Mrs. Clinton’s political makeover, however, those who have felt her venomous sting during her last reign of terror have survived to remind the world of the terrible past. And, that is the job. “If only, if only, the electorate can be made to forget...”

Hillary sees the glitch in her master plan or why else would she being trying to prevent the release of the final report from the probe that found Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros guilty of lying to the FBI about paying $250,000 in hush money to his ex-mistress? While, apparently, neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton were involved in Cisneros’ crime it appears that the special prosecutor’s final report, due out just in time for her 2006 Senate campaign, will reveal that both Clinton’s misused their power while in office and used the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a weapon against their enemies. Judicial Watch has pointed out that the Clinton’s ordered IRS audits of The National Rifle Association, The Heritage Foundation, The National Review, The American Spectator, Freedom Alliance, National Center for Public Policy Research, American Policy Center, American Cause, Citizens Against Government Waste, Citizens for Honest Government, Progress and Freedom Foundation, Concerned Women for America and the San Diego Chapter of Christian Coalition. They didn’t limit this abuse of power to organizations; they also allegedly ordered audits of individuals such as Bill O’Reilly of Fox News; Clinton paramours Gennifer Flowers and Elizabeth Ward Gracen; sexual assault accusers Paula Jones and Juanita Broaddrick, and fired White House Travel Office Director Billy Dale.

When I tried to propose a question concerning this matter to a member of Clinton’s staff I, curiously, received no reply. Normally, Clinton’s “people” respond quickly to my inquiries even when they refuse to take a stand. I rebounded quickly, however, from this crushing slight since this was one time that I didn’t exactly expect a reply. They surely couldn’t be hazarding the risk of going “on record” now.

It is no wonder that Hillary Clinton’s lawyers are fighting so hard to suppress these damaging accusations from the Federal Prosecutor. While it is unlikely that either Clintons would ever be punished for their crimes, the inelegant dissemination of facts during an election year could prove catastrophic, especially, after working so hard to try to convince the American public that their butterfly isn’t a moth.

"Clinton's Past May Come Back to Haunt Her"

There was a time, long ago, when "Clinton" was a referral to a "him." I guess I'm living in the past.

A formidable woman, formidably corrupt. Inasmuch as her Vietnam protest antecedents represented nothing more than a naked and amoral grasping for power, she may very well be as genuine a "hawk" in the Iraq matter as she ever could be genuine at anything. Losing there does not suit her; indeed, it might prove inconvenient.

But the corruption will not go away - too many victims, too much of a paper trail. Conservatives may take comfort in that. But it will be a false comfort. Understand that for the majority of her followers corruption does not matter just as it did not matter with her husband. It is a personality cult, unreasoning, fanatic, and quite unreachable. And just as with him, the most outrageous things will be proven and they'll still look at the world out of cow eyes and say "I don't care; that's my President."

I pray against this prediction coming true. Let the hearts of the people be wise and burdened with conviction; let the eyes of the voters be opened wide--and let the dams of facts being gatekept by the co-conspiring MSM be burst, in Jesus' Name.

Stay on her about the 900+ FBI files too. She belongs in Marion, or at the end of a rope.

You are 100% correct. I guarantee you that most Dems don't know or don't care about the Clinton's past. Because they don't really care about any of their candidates pasts. They only care about what their man or woman is going to do i.e. give to them now and in the future. All my Dem friends, family members, and co-workers are utterly clueless and unconcerned about anything that the Clinton's did in their past...illegal or not. To them defeating Republicans is the only thing that counts.

Remember this is a party that viewed Al Sharpton as a legitimate candidate for prez. They certainly will not care one whit about some financial peculiarties in the scandal the Clinton's past. Republican attempts to get libs and Dems to look at Hillary's tainted past and be shocked will be met with supreme scorn and indifference. The only thing left to be done is to defeat her at the ballot box. We won't deter her followers by holding her up for examination. They don't care.

I have a theory that goes like this, Clinton will look like a total idiot because she can not truthfully answer ANY question.

Just start thinking about all the things that would come before her to have to answer too...There will be no listening tour this campaign...no NY silent media sychophants softballing.

She will be TOAST!!!

Your analysis is sound. I will extend it by adding that Hillary Clinton will be aided and abetted by the MSM to the maximum extent possible. They will go into the tank 100% for her. While we here understand the nature of the beast, I'm afraid a large portion of the American populace do not clearly see the nature of the MSM and its bias. It was bad during the elections of 2000 and 2004, nearly stealing the 2000 election for Gore and facilitating the campaign of Kerry, who by any right should have been unelectable. It will be much, much worse when taking up the cause of a Clinton.

Thank you for the ping! I pray for a Spiritual revival to sweep this country, for Christians who love God absolutely and trust Him. I pray for all Christians to love others unconditionally, making every effort to consider consequences - including the candidates and ideologies we embrace - that we may remain in His Light and grace.

"While it is unlikely that either Clintons would ever be punished for their crimes..."

"Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, I will repay."
Rom. 12:19

Those that turn a blind eye to corruption will be punished as well:

"And in anger and wrath I will execute vengeance upon the nations that did not obey." Mic. 5:15
