So France has more security agencies than they make public - no surprise.

So they negotiate with terrorists - no surprise there either.

An agent caught in crime exposes national secrets in retaliation - that tells you Chirac isn't as nasty as he could be because the traitor is still alive.

Sounds like it's not as bad to be a stool-pigeon against Chirac as it was against Clinton.
