I've found Craigslist to be a great, fast, free way to get rid of spare odds & ends by selling to local buyers.
I couldn't agree less with their "progressive" politics, but as long as the suckers are giving away something for free, I'll take it.

If you wanna get rid of stuff, or pick up stuff, look for a local FreeCycle group.
CL is spotty. The ones here in Michigan are pretty much overrun by spammers.
Craigslist rocks. I found it this year looking for MLB tickets. Got some great ones at great prices.
