Kennedy says he would back Kerry in an '08 run
Boston Globe ^ | October 13, 2005 | Associated Press

Senator Edward M. Kennedy said yesterday he would back fellow Massachusetts Senator John F. Kerry for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, even if Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton pursues a White House bid.

While Kennedy has frequently entertained the New York senator and her husband, Bill Clinton, he said his loyalty is to Kerry. Early polling indicates that Senator Clinton and Kerry are among the favorites for the Democratic nomination in 2008, but they have not declared whether they will run.

Kennedy called Kerry, the 2004 nominee, an ''able, gifted, and talented political leader."

He criticized President Bush's leadership and said of the American people: ''Every day, I think they regret that John wasn't elected."

Kennedy v Clinton. Going to be interesting to watch which wing of the Democrats prevails in '08.

LOL! I had not seen that, but the features apply. Sadly they lack the charm, class and wit of the great Americans Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

"Kennedy has frequently entertained the New York senator and her husband, Bill Clinton..."

What a thrill it must be to have Ted Kennedy entertain you. I bet Hil and Bil are secretly happy as he!! to have Kennedy backing Kerry.

I would find a bit of vicious in-fighting on the other side, to be quite refreshing.

Be nice if both of them backed right up into the sewer from which they emerged.

How sad. I know it's a target rich environment for humor, but it's so sad I almost feel it should be declared off-limits for jokes.

I have nothing but disdain for the voters responsible for these two unsightly lesions being seen around the world as representatives of America's system of government.

These two, and many others who constantly strive to divide us are responsible for the death and injury of so many thousands of America's fighting forces.

And while I am on this rant, let me express how tired, how absolutely worn out I am, of hearing the radio talk show guys, especially Rush and Hannity, constantly impersonate their voices. I loathe Kennedy and Kerry and can't stand to hear them when it's really them, let alone have to subjected to them by people who I otherwise enjoy and respect. I don't listen to conservative talk radio to hear the voices of the Hate America crowd.

My friend you an O agree on this point. The people of Massachusetts who vote for these two should have a warning tattooed on their foreheads. I think a red crescent would be apt.

I think someone should check what is in the water in Mass..I couldn`t believe it when someone told me, but Teddy has been re-elected to the Senate every single year since something like 1962!! That`s even before my father was even born! Even after Chappaquiddick he was elected! What crack are they smoking up there?

They mean to tell me, for the past 43 years, out of the millions of people who probably have 10 times better smarts, better morals, better qualifications, better education, the only person they could find good enough to rep them for the past half a century is somebody who was kicked out of Harvard, drinks his arse off and killed someone and tried to hide it??

I don`t know what`s worse, DC re-electing Marion Barry after smoking crack or this stuff! It just goes to show, fame or infamy is more important than anything else when it comes to politics. Sometimes it`s a good thing when you get someone like Reagan, but other times it allows complete and utter idiots to slip through the cracks time and time again.
