Suspects caught on camera

NORTHLAKE - A trio of suspected burglars turned themselves in to police Thursday after they learned they had inadvertently starred in a nanny-cam tape that was shown on television.
"The homeowners accidentally left the camera on," Northlake officer Jeff Chase said. "It definitely made the investigation a lot easier."
Friends told the woman, her son and a teen-age friend that a tape of the burglary of a Northlake home had been shown during TV newscasts earlier this week.
Tami Denis Hoult, 38, Joseph Hoult, 18, and Marcos Juan Resio, 17, agreed to surrender to officials after Bedford police got a tip Thursday to go to a Bedford home in the 1600 block of Lexington Place.
One of the teens was in the middle of a garage sale when Bedford and Northlake officers arrived, Bedford police Lt. Kirk Roberts said. The other two suspects were contacted later that day, police said.
The trio agreed to turn themselves in to police Thursday evening, Northlake officer Jeff Chase said.
The burglary was reported Oct. 4 by residents in the 10000 block of Cleveland-Gibbs Road in Northlake. After burglars broke into the home through a back window, the tape captured three people wandering around the house, casually choosing to take a laptop, a couple of guitars, video games, a tackle box, thousands of dollars in U.S. savings bonds and other items.
When the homeowners returned that evening, they'd been cleaned out, but the camera system they'd installed was on -- as it had been for the past month, Chase said.
Each of the thieves' faces was clearly recorded on tape, police said.
About half of the stolen goods were recovered Thursday. The rest had already been sold, Chase said.
Winner of the "mother of the year" award.
Beat me to it. Mother of the year, indeed.
It's obvious that she wanted the money from the burglary so she could go to her hairdresser.
Maybe she could teach her son how to be an accountant too.
She looks like one of those Pre-surgery types on the show Nip'n Tuck.
