I didn't mean to be so caustic.

I wish these poor, brave people all the luck that God and the US can provide.

I pray safety for them all.

Thanks for those links. I found this interesting:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1107AP_Iraq_Reading_the_Referendum.html

They will likely reach it in Anbar province, the vast western region that is the heartland of Iraq's Sunni Arabs and the insurgency. Count Anbar as one of the "no" provinces.

Crucial to watch are three other "swing" provinces: Nineveh in the northwest and Salahuddin and Diyala, north and northeast of Baghdad. Each has a Sunni Arab majority population, but also significant Shiite or Kurdish minorities.

In these electoral battlegrounds, turnout - and the type of turnout - will be critical. If Sunni Arab opponents can rally supporters to the polls, they may be able to outweigh the presumed "yes" vote from Shiites and Kurds in Nineveh, Salahuddin and Diyala.

The insurgents are desperate like never before. Despite all the money, rage and fanaticism that fuels the extremists here, Zarqawi's organization is under pressure it can't withstand for much longer. If the Iraqi state takes form as a viable and moderate political entity, then what public support AMZ's group still holds will evaporate.

Our military is the hammer that will defeat this insurgency, but we won't succeed without a legitmate Iraqi goverment as an anvil. Every step the political process makes is better than a dozen battlefield victories, in terms of truly ending this war.

The entire Democrat Party is praying to Satan tonight that the proposed Iraqi Constitution is defeated and that multiple, numerous insurgent attacks are successful in killing innocent Iraqi citizens and as many USA servicemen as possible. The Democrats are being led in prayer by Cindy Sheehan, Ted Kennedy, Dick Durbin, Barbara Boxer, Michael Moore, Harry Belafonte and the entire Congressional Black Caucus, etc.!!!
