Sorry but your hypothetical doesn't wash here. If anyone threatened me I would have to report that info to the proper authorities.. unless they actually tried to do the deed then of course I would defend myself. But the nazi wackos didn't threaten or kill anyone.. and they didn't physically harm anyone or anyones property. But the thugs did.
"Why should people who band together to threaten others be treated any differently?"
Couldn't that be said of the thugs today?
There are a lot of screwball groups in this country with crazy ideologies. And groups like the neo-nazis are worthless idiots that spout hate but so do a lot of other groups in this country but IMO we can't go around shooting them all or disbanding them because of what they 'think' or even say.
It's up to Blacks to ignore them, and not take out their rage on the rest of society. Where would we be if we all acted out our anger towards those we might bitterly disagree with?
For too many years bad behavior has been given a free pass, minimized and excused because it suited the agenda of socialists and liberals. They do this by pointing the finger at the brickmaker and not the person beating someone senseless with the brick.

When one gang (same race/religion even) divides up a town and declares it their turf, aren't they engaging in a hate group?
If they are willing to come to blows against those who aren't in their gang isn't that discrimination?

As far as the above statement is concerned, and another like it somewhere in this thread, there were many folks of the same mindset in Europe, etc., during the 1930's.
I am stunned by the lack of accountability toward the Nazi's on this thread, the pass they've been given in that it's all the ignorant black New Orleans-like gang members' fault. I'm reminded of the time a bunch of us were standing around chatting, we all turned in unison to the sound of the ping of something connecting to metal. It was little Frederick's head against a support pole. My darling little boy stood there, smoking mad, obviously the culprit. I felt I had to reprimand him. Until he said, quietly, "He pushed me." My point is not that my son was right, but that there were two at fault.
I never thought I'd see an American give Nazis a right to free speech. I sure didn't think I'd see it here at Free Republic.
