Note: what can you do about this? Start calling all the reporters who are reporting on Delay and ask them why they aren't reporting on Hillary. At the bottom of this piece, I'll provide some key points to make it easy for you.

Al Pacino in the courtroom turning on his own client --

from AND JUSTICE FOR ALL ... (1979)

In this memorable ending sequence from this 1979 Al Pacino film, Pacino as a defense attorney tired of the system, gives a great, over-the-top performance in this final scene. After learning the truth about the client he is defending, he turns on him in his opening remarks, which are wonderfully scripted. He discovers that this man, who holds a public office and is supposed to stand for something, did actually rape the woman. "The prosecution is not going to get that man today ... cause I'm gonna get him!" "That man should go to right to f***ing jail!" The whole courtroom erupts and as the judge admonishes Pacino saying "You're out of order", Pacino delivers one of his most famous lines "You're out of order! He's out of order! This whole trial is out of order!" "If this man walks free, then there's something really wrong going on here." It's a powerful and stunning moment revealing a man who couldn't take the deceit and deal-making of being a defense attorney and defend the guilty, and because of Pacino's incredible star power, it makes the scene even more memorable.
-end excerpt from source-

The quote from Al Pacino in the powerful movie, AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, could not be more appropriate today concerning the reporting of the Tom Delay campaign finance troubles and the Hillary Clinton campaign finance troubles...or lack of campaign finance troubles. There is something really wrong going on here.

On Friday, I attended the California Appellate Court hearing in which the Clintons' private attorney, David Kendall, made oral arguments attempting to remove Hillary as a defendant in Peter Paul's historic and unprecedented civil suit against a former president and sitting senator. It involves Hillary's failure to report about $1.9 million in fundraiser expenses paid by businessman Peter Paul for Hillary's senate campaign in 2000. It is the largest campaign finance fraud on record.

Although I spent two days before the hearing calling the media, speaking with them briefly about the case, and sending them information to get them up to speed, only one reporter showed up in the courtroom -- Josh Gerstein of the NEW YORK SUN. The LOS ANGELES TIMES building was in walking distance, but no one appeared to get the story.

Well, maybe campaign finance just isn't a sexy enough story. Could that be it? No, that is not it. The Delay case has shown how sexy it can be to the mainstream media. It is pure and simple an orchestrated effort by the mainstream media to protect their darling, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I did two "news.google.com" keyword searches. The first used "Tom Delay"; the second was "David Kendall Hillary Clinton." Certainly it should have been news that the Clintons' personal attorney flew to Los Angeles for oral arguments on Hillary's behalf in a California Appellate Court.

What a staggering difference between the two searches. The one article regarding Hillary, by the way, is an old one from Jonah Goldberg from 1998. You will also find it interesting to do a search using "hillary clinton peter paul." Keep in mind that a week ago an 8,000 word story appeared in the WASHINGTON POST MAGAZINE. Although it was very protective of Hillary, you would have thought it would at least raise the curiosity level of political and investigative reporters.

KEY POINTS FOR REPORTERS

1. They have reported on Delay, why not on Hillary's troubles?

2. Hillary is a defendant, along with the former president, in an historic and unprecedented civil lawsuit proceeding through the California courts. It is expected that she will be under oath during her 2006 senate campaign.

3. David Kendall accepted service for Hillary on July 11, 2001. Plaintiff Peter Paul demanded an accurate report be made to the FEC. He included copies of checks, invoices, bank statements, and other items documenting approximately $1.6 million dollars he spent on Hillary's behalf. The same info was provided to her treasurer, Andrew Grossman.

4. Why didn't Kendall advise his client to make an accurate filing rather than the third fraudulent report made to the FEC on July 30, 2001?

5. The third fraudulent report understated expenses by at least $1.2 million.

6. The fraud continues to this day, and there has never been any effort to correct it.

7. Send them to HillCAP.org for more info.

FReepers, thanks for your help. The mainstream media is going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming into this story. Let the dragging begin.

Well, we can tell how afraid Hillary is of the charges in the past..

She is in Hollywood going after more and more money...SHE isn't afraid of charges being brought against her.

It was amazingly ironic that Hillary returned to the scene of the crime to gather in more money at the same time Kendall was arguing in the Appellate Court.

It is not charges of the past. It is a continuing fraud that goes to the highest levels of the DNC.

A few reporters did write about the David Rosen criminal trial. Since then, there has been a cone of silence.

On Friday October 14,2005, David Kendall, made oral arguments attempting to remove Hillary as a defendant in a civil suit against a former president and sitting senator. It involves Hillary's failure to report about $1.9 million in fundraiser expenses paid for Hillary's senate campaign in 2000. This may be the largest campaign finance fraud on record.

Certainly this must be news worthy, or is it not 'fit to print' because a noted Democrat, Hillary Clinton, is involved as opposed to Tom DeLay, a Republican?

Did Nancy Pelosi not have a similar matter, to DeLay, addressed by the FEC?

Sent to NYT, LA Times and WaPo. Will also go to other hostile rags and, reworded, to friendlies.

1. They have reported on Delay, why not on Hillary's troubles?

Because they are no longer "reporters" they are self proclaimed "journalists".

2. Hillary is a defendant, along with the former president, in an historic and unprecedented civil lawsuit proceeding through the California courts. It is expected that she will be under oath during her 2006 senate campaign.

She is very adept at being a defendant, less her selective poor memory attacks she suffers.

What's in it for Hillary to be able to recall such transactions?

4. Why didn't Kendall advise his client to make an accurate filing rather than the third fraudulent report made to the FEC on July 30, 2001?

He's only working in the best interests of his client and this is a most perfect way to increase sales of his future biography.

5. The third fraudulent report understated expenses by at least $1.2 million.

The war in Iraq costs much more than that and people make mistakes when striving to do their best in doing the peoples business. It's been a tough row to hoe and in their efforts to maintain the peoples business that they don't recall minor mistakes in finances.

6. The fraud continues to this day, and there has never been any effort to correct it.

We have tried and tried to alleviate the political fraud but the likes of Karl Rove and Tom Delay have stifled our efforts in doing so for we have had to spend time on these issues.

7. Send them to HillCAP.org for more info.

FReepers, thanks for your help. The mainstream media is going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming into this story. Let the dragging begin.

My apologize for the obvious sarcasm Doug, however I can envision this as a response from the left.

I don't keep my eyes glued to Fox but am curious as to whether the story has even been reported there. Similarly, has Rush covered this? Perhaps some Freeper could advise on whether there has been ANY reporting of this story. Surely somebody has reported this somewhere, no? If not, a massive campaign of bloggers and Freepers are needed to apply some pressure. Not even the MSM can run and hide forever.
