Can you believe that folks actually donate money to The Free Republic.com censors/cheerleaders, when they could otherwise donate to impoverished kids!
I posted the first 3 paragraphs of my home page on 10-7-05 at around 6:30 am, with a fresh identity, using treasury as the link source, at freerepublic.com. The thread was pulled in about 5 minutes and my posting privilages revoked. The first reply suggested that Europe had a debt problem as well, to which I replied that the DX might indicate that they might not be increasing their money supply as fast as we are and included a link to a monthly DX. The exact text of the thread I posted was:
Fiscal 05 Debt + 2 days Fiscal 06 = Record Deficit
Posted on 10/07/2005 3:36:10 AM PDT by Isnt It Crazy
In early October Treasury reported 2005 fiscal year end debt of 7,932 billion compared with the debt at fiscal year end of 2004 of 7,379 billion, indicating a 553 billion dollar on-budget deficit for 05, the third largest in our nation's history, just 2 billion under the 2003 second largest on-budget deficit of 555 billion. However, on October 6 the Treasury table showed that the first two days of the new 2006 fiscal year, October 3rd and 4th, showed a combined increase in debt of 46 billion. If the increase in debt for these first two days of the new fiscal year, had been posted on the last day of fiscal 2005, the deficit for 2005 would have swelled to 599 billion to take the position of the largest on-budget deficit in the history of the Republic.
Amazingly the debt turned in this poor performance in spite of the blizzard of M3 money stock being blown into our system, to the tune of a whopping 172 billion dollars over the 8 weeks ending August 19 alone. This is a 1.7% increase in the entire money stock created since 1913, in 8 weeks. To put this 8 week 176 billion dollar figure into further perspective, if the government sold all of the gold they claim to have today, at $470 per ounce, it would total less than 123 billion dollars. Is the Government and banking sector accelerating the theft of your savings, through inflation, in order to monetize the debt?
From the Treasury interest table it would appear that the interest expense alone on the U.S. debt, for only 11 months of fiscal 2005, was over 335 billion. This was in spite of the fact that we have for some time been experiencing some of the lowest interest rates in 40 years. What would happen to this debt component if even slightly higher average annual interest rates are required to service our national debt? Average issued debt maturity is just 55 months.

DO YOU THINK THIS THREAD WAS OVER THE TOP? HAVE THEY GOT PROBLEMS AT FREEP OR WHAT!
A refreshing alternative is the Daily Reckoning which is a largely conservative, but critically thinking, chat site for grownups where free speech is the rule. If a skinhead poster writes something offensive, other posters simply ignore them until they go away. No trust need be placed in the opinion of a "moderator".
FOLLOWING FROM THE FIRST TIME I GOT BANNED FROM A POST ON 9-7-05.
I fully expected the insults to be hurled at me at Freep becuase folks get frustrated when facts disagree with what they desperately want to believe or pretend to believe. When I responded to another poster who wanted to cite CBO projections of GDP vs debt as support I intimated that the ratio of revenue to debt might change a bit with a housing adjustment, whereupon they removed the post (Comment #21 Removed by Moderator) perhaps because it was too serious to contemplate. My posts were answered with vacuous drivel or, more typically, meanspiritedness. They finally ran out of nasty substanceless responses to my posts so they banned me, but then continued posting on my thread after I was banned and had no ability to respond. How's that for principle!
Not so "free" when they censor posters based on content which disagrees with what they so desperately want to believe, but it is entirely consistent with the democrat underground, or democratunderground.com or DU censorship mold. The information that developed my post comes straight from the U.S. Treasury.
Free Republic clearly only allows posts that support their hopes and dreams of what they wish really was, that are reinforced by cheerleaders such as Larry Kudlow and Sean Hannity, and are intolerant of having their rose colored glasses scratched. Will Hannity continue to support these speech censors? I did read one poster that said that Hannity is already distancing himself. Somehow I doubt that point of view sanitization is compatible with hanitization. Read the last paragraph in this post from Jim Robinson, the founder, apparently offered as an excuse for censoring the posting of factual economic numbers gleaned from the Treasury, and especially read the responses of his minions/lemmings. Perhaps numbers straight from the Treasury are considered to be propaganda.
