Sounds "Constitutional" to me! I'm telling you, if they would just put cameras in everyones' houses and cars, we could prevent almost all crime! All we need is more cops, more laws, and less freedom. We should also throw a couple of innocent people in jail to keep everyone on their toes.

Exactly! That's why this kind of thing is covered in the Constitution. There's a footnote after the Bill of Rights that says, "all of the above may be thrown out to catch drug users, drunks, or terrorists." You just haven't seen the footnote because it's written in Captain Crunch invisible ink marker.

Have Bush and Rice condemned this yet?

Checkpoints are a big no no.

Or is it just when the "Palestinians" seeking to murder Israelis are "humiliated" by them?

"How many illegals?"

NONE!! It's more fun to take a guy who watched Roger Clemens pitch at a sports bar, and ruin his life for something he MIGHT have done to society.

Now if only we would start pedestrian checkpoints to search people, there's no telling how much in the way of illegal drugs and dangerous weapons we could round up. We'd probably start catching dangerous wanted felons too. If they don't produce proper ID we just lock 'em up until we figure out who they are. I bet if we started rifling through briefcases we could uncover some tax fraud too.

This is such a great idea. Why hasn't this been thought of before?

http://www.roadblock.org/registry.htm

~U.S. Constitution: Article [IV.] ~The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. ~

One phone call from a governor or Att. Gen. and it will happen. Governor X to State Police commander " We have credible info from DHS that the evil constitution freeks and will be transporting firearms in preperation to attack local mosques. We want to set up saftey inspections on the primary roads"

State police commander to troop commanders " We have info that white males may be transporting guns on the highway we need to set up seat belt/DUI checkpoints to develop RS to search vehicles"

Trooper to Sgt. "Sir this is BS and illegal"

Sgt. to trooper "Well you can take you copy of the constitution and pay your morgtage with that"

Driver stopped at checkpoint to JBT: "No I do not consent to having my car searched"

JBT: "If you have nothing to hide than you have nothing to worry about"

Driver:"Am I under arrest?"

JBT: "No you are being detained"

JBT: "Where are you going to and where did you come from?"

Driver:"I refuse to answer your questions"

JBT:"Step out of the car"

Driver:"Am I under arrest, what for?"

JBT:"Get the F@#$ out of the car"

Driver:"Am I under a......" As tazer crackles
