Yeah, but she was talking gang tattoos. I interviewed a young man once who was straight out of jail and had a visible Houston gang tattoo. He freely admitted he had been in jail. There were all kinds of rules about what we could not ask, but there was something about him that made me want to give him a chance. I had to go through home office to get approval - told him straight up not to burn me. The last I heard, his supervisors were full of praise for his work and he had been promoted twice.
PS: I did ask him before he left my office why he had been in jail and he answered possession of illegal firearms. uh.
